Can a handling fee be added to shipping in order to offset/cover eBay & PayPal fees, or do Final Value Fees include any handling costs that sellers charge?

Yes you can add a handling fee but Final Value Fees are charged on the total amount paid to the seller so that does include the handling fee. Your expenses including fvf, can be covered within your item price.

OP you could add a fee onto the price of your item to cover the cost of the additional FVF that eBay will be making on your handling charge. But that fee will also be included in the calculation of the FVF.

I think the only time you can't add a handling fee to the shipping price is when you use Free Shipping. If you choose that method than roll your handling fee into the item price just as you did with the cost of shipping.

You are free to add a handling charge no matter what method you use for your shipping.
If you choose to do Free Shipping, then you roll all your costs and profit into whatever price you come up with for your product.
If you do a fixed stated shipping price, then you add your handling charge on top of your estimated shipping costs to come up with your stated fixed shipping price.
And if you use the Ebay calculator to calculate your shipping, there is a spot during set up that you can enter how much you want to charge for a handling fee which Ebay will use to add to whatever they come up with on the calculated shipping charges.
So we all have options.

Sorry but your confusing me, isn't this exactly what bearded posted in their above link ???????
so why are you quoting them like the answer was not correct?

Yep, exactly! 😭 No way out, lol. That's pretty much what I've been trying to figure out, but guess there's no solution. 😒

Thanks @labs118 , glad you understood my post. For those who didn't understand what I was saying:
Handling fees cannot be added to the SHIPPING price when you click the Free Shipping check box. Using Free Shipping greys out the check box for handling fees.
So, if you use Free Shipping then you need to add your handling fee to the ITEM price, just like you rolled in the shipping cost to the item price.
