Hello. I recently sold a video game that includes a digital code for the season pass. I shipped both the video game and the digital code which was inside the case. Now the buyer is requesting a refund for "Item not as described" and will not answer any of my messages. I am guessing he has used the code and is attempting to scam me by claiming it did not work. He even tried to scam in multiple ways:
1) Buyer opens a dispute and claims item never arrived. I add the tracking number and show that the item arrived a day before he started his dispute. This clearly tells me that he's a scammer. Buyer closes the case.
2) Buyer then opens another case saying the item was not as described. He refuses to answer my questions as to why he opened the case.
At this point I have until the 14th to reply to the buyer's dispute where my only options are refunds or wait for ebay to intervene. I am wondering if anyone had any advice as how to handle this case. Will ebay automatically give him a refund on the 14th?
As for any proof that the code was valid to begin with:
-I took a picture of the code on my PS4 where it showed it was valid. Not sure how much weight that will have in this case.
-I also sold another code for the same game where the buyer left positive feedback and stated their code worked fine.
-I also sold another identical game and season pass so maybe I can contact that buyer to confirm their code worked? Again not sure how much weight that will have in this case.
Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Return for refund and BLOCK. If you still have the code, you may be able to report the code as stolen.
But, most SNAD case's are lost by sellers.
You may be to fight this as Digital Content is not covered by the eBay MBG, however you physically shipped a product, so most likely you would lose.
If you do try:

If you did not list this in a classified as format in the everything else category then the buyer has full buyer protection because you listed it as a tangible good and you will not win the case. I wouldn't even try fighting it because you violated eBay policy listing it that way.
