I recently listed my Xbox One S and sold it through Ebay. The item was purchased the night of April 2nd and I packed it, payed for priority mail shipping via USPS, and sent it on it's way the morning of April 3rd (less than 12 hours after purchase). It is now the 15th of April and the last update on shipping was April 7th. The buyer has been sending multiple messages a day about his "impatience" that the package hasn't arrived yet and is even questioning if I sent it (when Ebay provided tracking details to me and the buyer as soon as the item was purchased). Besides this fact, I have tried to work with the customer by providing tracking information, filing a lost mail report to USPS, talking to an employee at a post office in the buyer's home state, etc. Today, the buyer filed for a refund and I was given the option to issue the refund or to provide the tracking number. I opted for the latter because there is nothing I can do to control where my package went or where it is. When I spoke to the USPS employee, he told me that they have been very backed up due to the coronavirus but my package should show up and be delivered shortly and that's exactly what I told the buyer. With all this being said, the email about the refund request stated that after April 20th, the buyer can open a claim to Ebay for them to investigate the case. If the package still hasn't shown up by then and is truly lost in the mail what could happen? The buyer also said something about being afraid the package wouldn't show up in the condition it was advertised because it has been in the mail for so long. Does the buyer have a reasonable claim here and if so will it be pinned on me? And if Ebay tells me to refund the money will I be losing that money and the Xbox or will I be reimbursed by either USPS or Ebay? I know that was a long post but I really appreciate any answers and help I can get. Thank you!

If the package is lost or damaged, you will be responsible for refunding your buyer. If you have insurance then you would file a claim. Priority mail comes with $50.00 of insurance. Ebay does cover you for lost or damaged shipments.
Go to usps.com and sign up for email updates for your tracked package. This might shake the package loose.
What is the status of the case? Deadlines?

If there is no more tracking on the package, they'll probably refund the buyer.
No, Ebay will not reimburse you
If you didn't insure it, Priority Mail comes with $50 insurance.
