Customer received wrong item....

My listing description and title stated one item but I accidentally post the wrong picture (Sims PC game). The customer didn't email me once he received the item instead he went directly through eBay. Once replying to him I stated that I would be more than happy to send the game he wanted (pictured). He asked about returning the item I told him not to worry about that.  He could keep it (item was less than 10 bucks). How can I deleted the case or make eBay aware of whats going on. Obviously eBay would need to see our correspondences to see what we agreed upon,  how can I send this all to them? Thanks

I'm assuming that when you say he went 'through ebay' that he opened a return?

Once the buyer receives the correct item, ask them to go into the resolution center and close the return.
