Contradicting tracking information

I purchased an item on Sept. 28th, and two tracking numbers are provided.

When I just left-click on the linked tracking number for the item (in my purchase history items list) I have the usual pop-up window showing the status of the item. The status I see in that pop-up window is the status provided by USPS.

Still inside that pop-up window, the status as of this typing shows "Arrived at the Global Shipping Center - Delivered, Left with Individual". Additionally, when pasting that USPS tracking number to the actual USPS website, their status for the item does also show the same message (with a filled up green bar at the top, with a checkmark, essentially saying that the item was delivered).

However, there's issues...

There's also a Global Tracking number provided (when I left-click the item in my purchase history items list again), it's just right under the one for USPS. So, going on the Global Tracking eBay website and pasing THAT other number I get a completely different result (for now anyway). On the Global Tracking site, for my item, THEIR status says: "Arrived at the Global Shipping Center". It doesn't say that an individual left, or that anything was actually 'delivered' per se.

Now, with this said; something else bothers me...

On the Global Tracking site for my item, it actually shows WHERE the item was shipping FROM (the seller), and WHERE the item is going TO (me). I checked the locations / destinations and they both correspond to the transaction, and obviously to my own address where I'm supposed to receive the item (at home). There's even an estimated date of arrival for the item (Oct. 6th to Oct. 9th).

I also went and checked on Google street view to see if I could locate the actual 'Post Office' in question and it does indeed exist, but I wouldn't see why the item would have simply been delivered there, and any other individual (than me) would have been there to pick it up. On a side note, the item is being shipped from the US, but I live in Canada; so indeed to me all this is confusing. Why would USPS have contradicting information compared with the Global Tracking system's information on the item's status?

Now, I do have an important question.

In the event that the item is indeed considered properly 'delivered', and even the Global Tracking status at some point says that it was delivered, BUT the item never was received by me; then what would be the steps to follow to request a refund? I'm asking about this since this confusion due to different information on the item status is literally the first time it happened to me since I've been buying items on eBay. Now, I wouldn't see why it would NOT be delivered to me still, because the destination address on the Global Tracking site is MY HOME's address; I still think it's going to be delivered... maybe. But I indeed now have some concerns due to what the USPS status shows).

Some advide / info about this sort of situation would be appreciated (what do you guys think is actually going on with my item? Was it delivered to someone else by mistake? Then again, who ELSE other than is actually waiting for that particular item and would simply pick it up just out of nowhere? It doesn't make sense to me).

Contradicting tracking information

The seller who was using the ggsp used USPS to send the item to the gsp center The only address on the package at the time was to that center so as far as USPS is concerned the item has been delivered.  Now the gsp takes over using a different carrier to take the package to Canada.  The gsp tracking usually has fairly limited tracking but once your package is in Canada it usually gets handed over to Canada Post and you should be able to find a CP tracking number after that happens.

Does that help.?

The package was delivered to a distribution center in Kentucky.  From there it will be shipped to you and be delivered in a week or so.  Relax.

I am 'relaxed', I only have questions. I'll wait of course.

I still don't know why USPS' item status contradicts the Global Tracking's status though. I never saw that before, so I only wanted to know why.

Thanks for your reply, by the way.

There isn't any contradicting information.

I suggest that you sit back and enjoy a cool beverage.

Yes, definitely more helpful and informative than being told to 'enjoy a cool beverage'.

The Global Tracking status (as of this typing) hasn't been updated since the past 22 hours, however. But I'll wait, since it's not anywhere close the estimated delivery dates provided by them (Oct. 6 to 9th).

Thanks for your time and your help.
