A single buyer purchased 2 items from me, but eBay has generated a different evtn number for each item. Normally I would combine shipping on these items, but I cannot. The option is grayed out.
Is there a way to combine shipping on these? I'd really like to not pay twice the shipping just because eBay wants this code on the address label.

What is a evtn number?

I printed a packing slip and put with each item in the packing, you can print one label and then add the tracking number to the other item

If you are selling through EIS you won’t be able to combine shipping. Unless eBay has invited you to their early access to combine shipping for EIS buyers.
The only way to combine shipping would be to put all items for that buyer into one listing for the buyer.
You would need to cancel the transactions in order to do that, make sure you communicate this with your buyer first.

That is for eBays international shipping hub.

That won’t work for eBays International shipping program.
Each item has its own EVTN identifier number for international shipping label from the shipping hub to the buyer.

eBay hasn’t rolled that out all sellers selling through EIS yet.
Some sellers reported receiving a message saying they added them to their early access to that part of the program. I received that message myself.
So I don’t know if the OP was added in to that, but from the sound of their post it doesn’t seem like it.
ETA on the other hand the buyer may have purchased separately 🤷🏻♀️

This is not International shipping. I live in Wisconsin and the buyer is in Illinois.

If that is the case then there wouldn’t be an EVTN number. The EVTN number is for eBays international shipping hub in Glendale Illinois

Oh, it is shipping to Glendale. That is the eBay hub, not the final destination? I see. Ugh, wat a messed up system. I guess I will unbox this stuff and rebox it separately, and charge twice for shipping what it should cost.

When the item gets to the hub your job is done. The next leg of the journey is to the buyer that’s on eBay. If you look at your buyers feedback page you will see where they’re located.
