I see all kinds of post on how to combine shipping but not much on this. The answers I have found by searching do not work or they are outdated.
I am having a problem with combined shipping on multiple items when bought from the same auction. For example if I have 5 items available in the same auction and the weight is listed as 1lb for each item then they buy 5 items the total wieght wold be 5lbs. eBay is not combing the weight and not making it 5lbs total but is only charging them for 1 lb so the person is paying a lower shipping charge than I am being charged.
1) I am using "calculated shipping based on buyer location"
2) I found Under Calculated shipping rule it says:
"Shipping Discount Profile: Combine all item weights." So that appears to be correct.
3) The shipping type i am using is USPS Priority mail
4) When I do create a shipping rule there is a box for:
What am I missing? It has happened multiple times and some of these items are 5 or 6 lbs apiece so there can be a pretty lower amount being charged if the shipping is calculated for 1 lb and not 5lb.

"Combined shipping discounts Apply my calculated shipping rule"What exactly is that box for? I would assume it creates more of a discount which would not help?

4. If you are referring to the box on the listing form you need to check it off so the calculator knows that your combined shipping rule (combine all item weights) applies to that listing.
