Combined Shipping

Can someone please help me.  I have all of my items set up at Buy It Now with the shipping price listed .  When I have a buyer that wants to combine shipping I was told they should put the items in their cart and request a total from me.  When my buyer did that she was told a new total could not be requested on an invoice as the prices were already set in the listing.  What do I need to do in my listings to be able to offer combined shipping?

Do you have the shipping as a stated price or as a calculated price? Do you require Immediate Payment. Those are the 2 bugaboos.

I use combined shipping all the time and, even internationally, my buyers have always been able to request an invoice on multiple items.

First go here,

and click the box on the items you want to ship together. Then click on the "Shipping" drop-down and select "Purchase shipping label". That should take you here,

Click the boxes on the items you want to ship together and click on the "Combine" box. Next select the shipping service and fill in the other info (size, weight, etc.) and when you are finished click on the "Purchase label" box and you should be taken to the Print Label page. HTH.

On the top left of your screen, hold your mouse over your name and you will see a drop down that says Account settings. Click it.

Next screen, under Selling, click Shipping Preferences.

Next screen, on the line that says "Allow combined payments and shipping", click edit on the far right.

Next screen, check the box that says "Allow buyers to send one combined payment for all items purchased".

You can also choose the number of days under the "Time period to combine payments"

Click save.

This will allow your buyers to request an invoice from their shopping carts for their orders with multiple items.

Make sure all of your listings do not have the box checked for "Require immediate payment with Buy It Now" or the above will not work. Personally, I send an invoice with the exact shipping cost for the buyer's location.
