I recently sold to a customer in Australia ninety-two (92) items from my store but am unable to combine ship even though I am set up to do so. I called eBay five (5) times already but to no avail. Is there something wrong with their system? On one occasion, I was told by one of their technicians to contact my buyer and ask them to send me a "request a total and combine shipping". Talk about not user (both seller and buyer) friendly. Please help if anyone know what's going on. Thank you

Your buyer needs to request a combined invoice from you, as the technician advised.
Have they done this?

You are not able to combine the items in one order per Ebay label? Or you are not able to reduce the shipping cost for the buyer??
That is the real key question here I believe.

But that is EXACTLY the right answer. That is EXACTLY what you are supposed to do. So rather than criticizing the system and the technician you should be thanking them for providing the CORRECT answer.
Then, once they do that, calculate the shipping charges and alter the invoice to match what you want to charge. Remember, you can change the shipping but you can not change the item price.

Do you have 1 order with 92 items and status is " Awaiting payment"?
Do you have more than 1 orders that total 92 items and status is " Awaiting payment" and delivery address is same on all orders?
Have you received payment for all 92 items and status is " Awaiting dispatch"?
Advice given by eBay's customer services agent appears to suggest that there is more than 1 order and Payment is not made therefore buyer MUST ask for Total with combined shipping (I order with 92 items ,1 shipping cost and 1 payment.
In my experience eBay's customer services can not make any changes to buyers order and sellers can make changes to shipping costs only when they are asked to do so and this can only be done before payment.
In the event that buyer has paid then seller can ship the items , upload tracking information and then refund any excess postage paid back to buyer.
Hope this helps.

Did buyer put all 92 items in his shopping cart? As far as I know you can only put 40 in the cart, so this would have to be broken down into three orders or 92 separate purchases.
Are you using GSP? If so, you may not be able to combine the shipping unless all items are pay with a single payment.
If necessary, you can always cancel and relist all 92 in a single lot listing with a single shipping charge and buyer can repurchase from there.

Simple solution to so many problems with combined shipping... Often my go to....

the simple answer is that the invoice system is choking on 92 orders
seller hub is just not an efficient hub, it can NOT handle the load
I can call myself the combined shipping king because I used to combine many items often to the same buyer
you need to send 3-4 invoices and break it down into smaller groups
calling customer service is like banging your head on the wall
