Closing a Return Case

Hello, I need help with closing a return case. The buyer and I came to an agreed partial refund amount. I partially refunded the buyer through Paypal because it wasnt giving me to option to do it through eBay. But eBay is not recognizing the return. I am trying to get this settled and figured out, any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Disney Shopper gave good advice. Another route that I just took last week was to make sure it was clear in messages between buyer and myself that we had reached an agreement and then I called eBay after I had done the partial refund through Paypal. The rep "got it" pretty quickly and went ahead and closed out the return after confirming that I had refunded the amount we had agreed in the messages.
