Hi everyone, I used another platform to sell my purses before but the fee is high so I tried eBay. I'm disappointed now and I'm going to take down all my listings. The other platform I used, they authenticate all items over $500 and they only give buyers 3 days to accept the item instead of 30 days like here on eBay.
I sold my first item for $700, I offered free shipping with insurance. After a week, the buyer claimed it has a lot of scratches, the bag is dirty, and she brought it to the Gucci store but the said it's fake. I know the Gucci store won't authenticate any bag because I tried before.
I replied to the return request and offered to pay for her to authenticate with a service to ease the concern, I also uploaded a copy of the receipt when I purchased 3 months ago. No response from her whatsoever so I called eBay customer service. They didn't offer much help, the lady on the phone said if they are asked to step in, they will usually offer the buyer refund. I also read this on a lot of the discussion online. Is there anything I can do to help this case? I'm nervous after reading all the discussions where shady buyers send back damaged items or even nothing. It is a pretty expensive item and I was very sure it's in great condition when I sent it to her. I should've recorded myself packing it 😞 I really want to at least fight this dispute so the shady buyers don't think they can get away so easy. But I'm done with selling on eBay after this.

Thank you for the info.
Should I still file mail fraud report on this scammer outside of ebay to make sure this person doesn't try to run more scam/ or maybe he/she already did this many times and has a record already.
YES!!!!
If you do not file you lose your right to complain about bad buyers! imho! Plus you will paint a target on your back or the word "sucker" on your forehead and more will try scamming you!

Don't mean to be whining too much but I keep learning about these ebay policies that shock me. Promise this will be my last one complaint.
I just received an ebay invoice for the seller fee. The email said that amount will be automatically deducted from my credit card next week. I only sold to that one buyer. The refund case is closed already but Looks like I'm also responsible for the seller fee. That's another $120 on top of everything else I was charged for. I will call ebay and double check on that tomorrow and maybe they will waive it? I can't wait for this whole horrible experience to be over!

If you file the affidavit as the other poster noted and ask for a courtesy refund, eBay will also waive the FVF fees. Do that before a payment is due or taken.

Thank you. I will do all the steps recommended by you guys today. Will also wait to see if ebay will reverse the $710 they charged my card
as mentioned by other poster. Hopefully it will be over soon.
Have a great day!

Regarding your comment "you will paint a target on your back or the word "sucker" on your forehead and more will try scamming you"
Stop trying to scare the person with this falsehood, how would anyone else possibly know about any of this?, this is all done internally, no other buyer or seller will know a thing about it. Neither party will be permitted to leave feedback so this will not be known to anyone except eBay staff and the seller.
