I would not ship to war-torn Sri Lanka either.

Re: Bidding

Is the seller in Sri Lanka?  If they are not, they may not ship to your country or internationally and have most likely cancelled the sale to do the address issue.

@completepuzzle

What war? Protesters calling for the resignation isn't a war. Maybe civil unrest.

As of yet there's no USPS service disruptions to SL.

@kavmdus_0

If the shipping details don't specifically show a shipping cost to Sri Lanka the seller doesn't ship there. If there's no shipping cost you can't pay. Don't bid if you would be unable to pay

Besides, not having a firm shipping cost to your country is writing a blank check for  shipping if the seller changes their mind and sends you an invoice with a  shippjng cost.

If they won't ship to Sri Lanka, not much you can do.

Have a great day.

Re: Bidding

Before you bid, you need to see if the seller will ship to your country. Otherwise, nothing can be done. You are going to get an unpaid strike within 4 days.  This is the only way that the seller can recover their fees.

Sellers decide what countries they want to ship to.  Sorry.

Re: Bidding

The reason might be the delay it gets to you. Seller has a certain amount of time to have item shipped in your hands. Seller thinks it might be a delay getting there...therefore buyer opens a case as item not received. Seller has this timeframe. Although shipping is still open there...tomorrow who knows? Seller gives refund and eventually item arrives can happen.

Re: Bidding

You need to discuss that with the seller. If ultimately the seller doesn't feel safe shipping the item to Sri Lanka at this time, then it's up to the seller to cancel the transaction.

Good luck!

Re: Bidding

Watching the news this morning... protesters stormed and took over the Presidential Palace, they say the economy in Sri Lanka has collapsed, the president has fled the country... it could be that Ebay has put restrictions in place not to ship there.

The OP says that the seller won't ship FROM Sri Lanka, so it sounds to me that maybe the postal system within that country isn't working to well? They should reach out to the seller and if that doesn't work, the OP needs to call Ebay customer support (which may also be in Sri Lanka anyway)
