I have not had an issue with shipping until the past week or so. All of a sudden, I have had two requests open due to items not recieved. I sent both items via eBay standard envelope. The tracking is not working. Is anyone else having an issue with this?? If so, what are your opinions for shipping these items inexpensively??

The tracking is working but as most of us know there are pitfalls with this service. The roll out of this program was introduced like it was the best thing since sliced bread. The reality is many items don't track to a full delivered status and they can show delivered when in fact they are not.
Most of the problems I have seen are from using mailers that Are too rigid and envelopes that are pushing the 1/4" thickness limit. The machines that these are processed on can do an assault on an envelope. The rollers will leave marks when the mailer is too thick. I just had one returned 3 weeks after mailing because the machine rollers left marks that obstructed the address and it could not be read. That particular piece had shown it was delivered. Also, anything deemed not machinable can get pulled and all tracking will be lost. None of these problems were mentioned with the roll-out of this program. My advice would be to use a standard good quality envelope with a single toploaded/cardsaver and wrapped much like a credit card is sent to avoid problems. I actually think cardsavers would work better because they are thinner and more flexible.
