Hello
I have a buyer who purchased two large items from me and wanted to return them both after claiming not as advertised. That part is arguable but that isn't what I have a question about - the buyer received two shipping labels at my expense since "not as advertised". They mistakenly printed the first label twice and put it on both boxes and shipped them that way. I received one just find and now about 10 days later we got a notice from the post office that they have the other box for me and I owe postage of $43.40. So we paid the $43 to get the item back - it's worth it, barely. Ebay shows one box as shipped from the buyer and one as not shipped. I'm an honest person and will refund the buyer.... but how much? Will I be charged for the USPS label that was provided to them but they didn't use? How can I see what that cost? And because they didn't use the label properly, now this ridiculous cost of $43. Any tips will be much appreciated.
PS - I've already done the refund for the first box.

If you had eBay issue the return label, and it wasn't used, you will not be billed.
When you see the bill for your first label, you'll notice it was a lot cheaper than the postage due on the 2nd box.

Thank you tarpedge, you are right. I was not charged for the label that wasn't used. That label would have only cost $16 vs the $44 Thank you for your answer.
