I always check every night that my Tracking numbers are loaded either by Stamps.com or me and that they have an acceptance scan . Tonight (Monday) I did my nightly check and 25 tracking numbers from the last few days are missing. They were there yesterday night after I printed out all my labels for today's mail. Even stranger is when I tried to re enter the tracking numbers they were already filled in. I hit save and nothing is saved. I vaguely remember someone else having a similar problem but I could not find it on the forums.

Any info would be appreciated.

It seems most of my day is spent checking what should have been done Automatically by eBay and/or Stamps.com. More work....less pay.

August and the vanishing Tracking Numbers are starting to happen again! Two this week so far. They are there one day and gone the next. Still shows that it was shipped and if you click to add the tracking again it is already there.....Just not in the Manage All Orders List of Shipping Hub. Hoping it was just a short lived hiccup this time.

I was just coming here to post the same thing. On two selling accounts I'm seeing tracking numbers missing from what looks like Aug 3 - present. I reported it via FaceBook yesterday and am awaiting a response there. I encourage others to report this to CS- the more reports they get, the higher they'll prioritize a resolution. Unfortunately this situation is often a fix-forward and I really wish eBay would work on improving that process. A fix-forward still leaves us stuck on what's already been affected.

I called eBay and they confirmed it was a problem the "Team" was looking into. A note was made in my records and I should not expect any changes to my performance.

I tried the work around that was posted awhile ago and so far it is working. If you have a third party like "Stamps" sending in your tracking, either stop it and put tracking in manually....or go to the
"Add Tracking" option in eBay and delete the tracking that was sent and save the delete, then go in again and edit the tracking manually. It seems to stay there and not vanish. This seems to work if the package has not been delivered yet. Also if it is in transit and past your allotted time to enter tracking don't bother.

That's key because if you delete and re-add when it's past your handling time- you'll get late shipment marks.

I sent another message on FB and got a reply- they said it's an open ticket and they added my accounts to the existing ticket.

same here, when I click on the "add tracking" the next page shows the tracking numbers entered, but as soon as you confirm them the page returns to "add tracking" again

I'm sure eBay is already aware because they had to fix the same issue when it occurred a few months ago- but I wanted to add the info that this only affects tracking numbers that were purchased via a third party and uploaded through eBay's API. This includes labels purchased via stamps.com, pirateship, endicia, shippo, shipworks, and other postage services. The issue must be with eBay's API because any tracking purchased elsewhere then manually uploaded to eBay one at a time does not face the disappearance issue.

I as a buyer, respectfully disagree with your assessment. I only buy via EBAY on a desktop PC, and about 60% of my tracking numbers have been disappearing from my order details on buyer summary page for the past week. They show proper upload and disappear within 24 hours. It affects random purchases. This has been periodically ocurring since mid 2017 and automatically or magically clearing up within a few days with no explanation from ebay as to what or why.

Likewise, this week you have had a problem with a phantom number being displayed beside the buyers summary page cart icon when in fact the cart has been empty for days. Hovering says "your cart is empty, time to start shopping" It is annoying, and has periodically occurred since 2017 with no permanent resolution by ebay yet. These tech issues invariably follow soon after a flurry of ebay programming activity such has been occurring recently. It has been my experience that ebay never fixes them but they eventually go away to recur months later! The phantom number seems to have been cleared this morning, since my cart has been empty (actually) for several days. When things like this happen I just quit buying!

The answer is no. They show up for awhile when purchased. You go back a few hours later to see any updates and they are gone. You have to open item description, go to order details and search from there. Very time consuming and annoying. Especially if you have several purchases you are checking on. Just another eBay slow you down and work around.

Kudos for stating the facts. Anyone who considers all of those gyrations to simply check on tracking progress as an acceptablle "workaround" has a WHOLE LOT more patience than I will ever develop unless God answers prayers immediately as in "Lord grant me understanding and patience with Ebay, right now"!! Ebay always messes up something everytime they get into a flurry of programming activity, which usually does not benefit users at all!

I am having the same problem with vanishing tracking numbers. I shipped 21 orders yesterday (08/16/2021) and the tracking numbers were successfully uploaded but are now gone as of today (08/17/2021).

I was just contacted by a buyer asking for his tracking number.

Looking back at last weeks paid and shipped orders, ALL of the tracking numbers have disappeared! There are over 50 orders that had tracking and now show nothing.

The orders that I have shipped today are showing tracking numbers but will they disappear?????

Please add me to the list of sellers that are experiencing this problem.

Thanks velvet@ebay. As you can see above- it's been a week and more sellers are being affected by this. Buyers are also being affected as some of them can't see the tracking info in their purchase history. Same as last time- it appears the percentage of buyers is smaller- but some are still affected.

I'm surprised it's taking eBay so long to fix this since we experienced the same issue back in May. In other words- they already know how/what to fix so one would think that would make the process go faster this time.
