Login issue

Hello.

There is a log-in issue live in the community currently (5:33 pm pacific, Sept 17). Members who are logged in may be seeing a pop up asking them to to approve access to files. Members who are logged out can still view community but cannot log in.

Developers from both eBay and Khoros (the community software vendor) are working on this now. We will update when we know it is fixed.

@donsdetour   Yes,  last night and then this morning since Rebecca said the issue was "fixed" late last night.   I cleared the browsers on both Firefox and Chome and then restarted my computer.

The only other thing I can think to try is to log on a regular eBay page, go to the bottom of a regular eBay page and click on community to get in.

If that does not work, we will have to wait on tech to find and fix the mess.

2:45 pacific time and still not fixed on a couple of IDs.

I've tried different computers, different browsers.  Won't work on Ipad, iPhone,  Windows laptop...

Strange that I can log in fine with three accounts but the other two just loop around.  Even on the same computer/browser. ..  This ID works, but the other two do not work.

@donsdetour   I appreciate it.  I have tried using my bookmark, not using my bookmark, every combo in between.  LOL.  

I started this second account just to try and help with troubleshooting to see if it worked or not.  So far I have not been knocked off.  If I disappear and don't post again then you'll know that this account was locked out too.

Just started working for me I am not happy about the whole incident. The word glitch needs to be abolished. It minimizes the consequences. I'd really like to know what that statement was all about that they wanted me to accept.

As of 6:10 PM pacific we are not able to reproduce this error any more. We believe it's fixed but if you run into any other problems please continue to update this thread.

Hi rebecca@ebay, thanks for posting this. I was finally able to get back in a few minutes ago. The Collectibles board was inactive all day, but some of the regulars have been able to get back in now.

I saw that you had just posted on this thread, so I came to see what you had to say, I'm glad it was good news.

Unfortunately, I couldn't find this post on the thread, so I had to back out and go to your profile page, and click the direct link to get here. I hope you will be able to see it, goodnes only knows where it's going to end up on the thread. The last time I viewed this thread, there were several posts that didn't appear anywhere. I just used Ctrl-F search (while typing this) to verify that Messages 3-6 do not appear on this page. Why are they hidden? 

Edit: when I replied your post, it was number 25. Now that I have replied, my post is # 28. But there are no 26 or 27. A computer app that can't count? 

Edit 2: after I edited, I refreshed, and now your post is # 26, and Comic's post #27 has appeared below. Please, can we just return to logic? Why does everything have to be nonsensical?

Edit 3: I just got timed out, but now my post is showing Message 28 of 29. But, there is no Message 29 on the page.

My head hurts. I've just been in for 5 minutes, but now I'm done for the night.
