You're going to have to call ebay back...........this is a forum of and by sellers........we know nothing about outcomes of charge questions.

Did you have a "reserve" price set on your previous auction?  That would be a price that must be met in order for a buyer to win the auction.  If so, you are charged a fee upfront whether or not it sells of 7.5% of that price.

If the $122.98 is a fee for using the "reserve" it would mean that you set one for about $1639.50.

If that is not your problem, please clarify.

A reserve fee is an optional listing upgrade to have a reserve price on an auction listing. Reserve fees are charged when the item is listed, regardless of whether the item sells or not.

I don't see any items listed on this account assuming this is your posting account. Others already described what the "reserve" is with regards to an auction. I that is not your situation as ittybitnot stated you are going to have to provide some additional information.

You should contact customer service.  No one here can advise you as we do not have access to your account  or what happened:

They have 2 listing under completed, but they don't say anything about a reserve being used.

"I don't see any items listed on this account assuming this is your posting account."

FYI -- when you click on "View listings" under the name of any forum poster, you will also see, on the left side, beneath "Categories", a number of items, such as format, item location, delivery options and "Show Only".

Beneath "Show Only", you can click to see Completed Listings or Sold Listings, or a few other options.

OP, on two separate occasions, listed a truly beautiful set of pearl jewelry as auctions with a starting bid of $1,300.  Neither listing resulted in a sale, so those listings are in his/her Completed Listings.  OP is now stuck with a fee from eBay of more than $122.  The reasonable explanation is that OP placed a reserve price on at least one of those listings.

And to the OP, no, the consensus of other people who post here on this forum has nothing to do with whether eBay decides to charge you this fee or not.
