@krazzykats Sounds like you googled your answer and it applies more towards people traveling with golf clubs-hence the mention of luggage or using a courier or perhaps it helps people moving. Some info is applicable though. To ship from ebay, you can use USPS Ground Advantage. If you don't have a box, try going to a store that sells golf clubs to see if they have extra boxes. Then use bubble wrap or other material to minimize movement of the clubs..

Shipping golf clubs can be done efficiently and cost-effectively by following these steps:
1. Selecting a box: Measure your golf bag. If it has a hard travel case, a corrugated container isn’t required. For an additional fee, you can ship your clubs using this hardened option. Otherwise, specialty shipping boxes designed for uniquely shaped goods are available.
2. Finding packing materials: Use protective material or inflatable air cushioning to help your clubs remain intact throughout transit.
3. Preparing and wrapping your clubs: Remove the heads from your drivers and fairway woods, put club head covers on, and bundle your club (or clubs) in bubble wrap to prevent jostling during shipping.
4. Packing and protecting: Limit unwanted rattling during shipment by filling voids in the box with additional bubble wrap, inflatable air cushioning, or padded paper.
5. Including a support rod: Consider purchasing an aluminum support rod, especially if you’re shipping your golf clubs and bag regularly.
6. Sealing the box: Securely close the corrugated container with plastic packing tape.
You can also consider services like FedEx, UPS, or USPS which offer specialized services for shipping golf clubs. Remember, the best way to ship golf clubs within the US or internationally is to use designated couriers rather than including your golf bag and clubs as airline luggage.

For 1-3 clubs at a time you use a 4x4x48" box, cut the length to fit and send via UPS. It is almost always less than $10 that way for a single club.
If you do anything other than that then you will pay way more money. UPS charges like $15 extra for tubes now, and USPS charges $15 extra for long boxes. So you have to use the box and use UPS.

Some advice here on how to pack but my guess the question is really what is the most cost effective way to ship golf clubs. Tricky question since length is an issue that triggers extra fees with most carriers. My guess is is to avoid selling single clubs to soften the blow of the extra fees

When you say "best", do you mean cheapest, safest, quickest?

Traditionally in a longish box.

I already listed that above. 4x4x48" box with UPS is the cheapest way to ship single clubs. It usually costs me about $8 to ship one club that way.
In fact because of the cost differences that is essentially the ONLY way to ship golf clubs. USPS is going to start at about $25 for the same box.

I did google it. (AI) It always seems to start up the conversation if there is at least a reply.
But I did agree that shipping them was a better idea than taking them with you on a plane. The airlines did about explode one of my suitcase interiors with handling... 😁
