When I click print shipping label, why does it go to download and not just print?

Check your print settings to see if you have "Save as PDF" set as your print destination instead of your default printer.

@hrh100

It doesn't give you both options?

When I buy a shipping label, I'm given the option to download or print it.

Have a great day.

It gives both options. Both go to downloads.

Check your browser settings. You can change how PDF documents are treated by default. You can choose to open in the browser, to open in a PDF viewer or to save the document.

Or try another browser if you do not want to fiddle with your settings.

It might depend on the browser you are using.

I use Firefox. In the set up page there is an option that when you click a PDF file (the label) you can select an option to automatically download (without printing) or you can select an option "open with reader". That is the one you need to be able to print.

In Firefox, for example, at the top right of your screen are 3 lines stacked horizontally. Click that and choose "settings". Scroll down to "Applications". Within that box scroll down to Portable Document Format. If it says "always save" change it to "always ask"

Other browser may have similar default choices.

All those solutions sound good but this morning, a couple of hours apart, one label printed when I hit Print.

The next time, it sent it to a PDF file.

Continuous use of the computer so no changes.

Just because you did not change anything does not mean nothing was changed. Some browser updates can happen even without restarting the browser.
