I need to print small labels, so the printing software has always allowed me to select a print ratio tab.  By selecting this, I could enter the precentage such as 70 and the label would print at 70% size from the full label size.

The option to use this feature is still there but as soon as I enter a numerical value such as 70, nothing happens.

I can still print at full 100% size, so I am sure the problem is not at my end.

I know that I can choose different paper size choice in the software, but this way is much harder to choose the correct size paper and much less accurate for controlling  label size.

I reached out to ebay customer service, and as expected the agent could not help me, only suggested I send a seller comment to ebay.

Any suggestions on how to fix this issue?  Thanks in advance.

@balolong   my scale to print works with any % size with Safari, but not with Firefox, and it sets any % size with Chrome, but I have not used Chrome in awhile, so not sure about current conditions

Printing 'options' are on your computer (not always ebay) coming from your printer; you can adjust from there 'before' you click 'print'.

Generally this happens when you're using your browser's built-in reader instead of setting up your browser preferences to open PDFs with Adobe.

There's no point in reinventing the wheel so I'm going to copy/paste a response written by @rfmtm :

If you open the label file with Adobe and not the browser's built in reader, you should have no problem scaling to whatever value you want.  However, going below 80% the barcode scans may be problematic unless you print in high resolution, and/or graphic mode, on bright white paper stock that maintains crisp black edges of the bar lines.

Plus some printers, especially label printers, can distort the bars when scaled too small.   This also can occur when sending even a high resolution image to a printer that then down converts the barcode image to print it.   So check under magnification to be sure.

Thanks Rockstar,

It didn't occur to me  to try different browser, but I switched to Chrome from Microsoft Edge, and I can use the  % choice again.
