Buyer wants me to send an invoice for items she has in her cart to get combined shipping...How do I send an invoice for items that are not sold?

send an invoice

A seller cannot invoice for items that haven't been sold.

In order for the buyer to request an invoice from their shopping cart, the seller has to have enabled combined shipping in their preferences.

https://www.ebay.com/ship/prf

The buyer would then add the items to their shopping cart & use the request invoice function.

They would then be instructed to "commit to buy" the items.

The invoice request would then be sent to the seller.

I'm not sure of the terminology here, but once she commits to purchasing (on the cart order form), there should be a link there to Request Total from Seller. She clicks on that, and you receive a request for invoice in which you can set whatever Shipping cost you want for the combined shipment. I went through this in my buying account just last night to request a combined total for two separate auction wins.

I did ask her to hit 'request total'...that is the only was I have done this. She said other sellers have sent her a revised invoice...just wondering if I needed to learn another way?

Do you allow combined payments/shipping in your selling/shipping preferences?

If so, she should be able to use the "request total" link.

If you don't have them enabled, your buyer will be notified that you do not allow combined payments.

That portion seems to be the problem.  There is no "commit to buy".   Though there are many reasons why the "request total" won't work, there appears to be an issue with eBay and their decision to make all (or even most)  BIN listings under $1K immediate payment required even though the seller has elected NOT to use this feature.

There is an interesting topic going on now regarding this as well.

The big problem with "Request Total" function is that if buyer is using a mobile app, it doesn't appear for them to request total.  More and more people are using mobile apps and this is something eBay should fix.  Been this way for years, so i guess eBay isn't concerned.  Creates a hassle for buyers and sellers.
