Read the feedback, that is what it is designed for. If someone has a lot of negative or neutral feedback you might want to steer clear. Also someone with a very low count you might want to steer clear of.

First step - search for an item you want to buy and then follow forward-motions advice to check the seller

in all of my years of bying on ebay I can say I do not look for good sellers

I like to look for good deals and if the buyer is OK then I will go for it

much depends on if you are buying nerw or used and how big the supply is

I believe many are leaving. ebay has changed so much that the good, honest and trustworthy sellers have been taken for granted and they may just have had enough? That is my thought and it is exactly why I no longer sell here. I know there will be those who say those sellers who leave will be replaced by newer sellers. Those of us who have been here for some 20 years will not simply be replaced by anyone. If that even occurs, it will take years for the newbees to fill our shoes...
