As A long time user and a very frustrated one, I really would like to know how to communicate with ebay.  Every avenue I have used in the past 10 years has taken at least 2 years before EBAY fixed the problem. Currently I believe they are trying to create greater difficulty for users!

To wit, the new site map is  now very hard to use, and not in an alphabetical format with some issues not apparently not covered.

Other issues:

Why can we not get data by calendar month instead of a rolling 31 day window. ( I do my books on calander month).

Why are invoices / packing slips not sorted by "Customlable" or description. I use "customlable" as a unique storage location in the wharehouse.  This is a big deal when some invoices exceed 20 items. 

Why are buyers allowed to ignore the shopping cart and "request an Invoice" option ?  It is painful to have 5 paypal payments from the same buyer within 20 minutes.  The Delcampe platform has this solved!

Get rid of the returns option or fix it. To wit the resolution center could easily be modified to handle returns, negotiated (partial) refund, full refund, replacemant and  return shipping label or via PAYPAL. 

So many otherthings that would assist sellers to sell more efficently.

So many other math errors in seller hub and opertunities to give sellers more meaningful data. Some of these math issues might be a lack of deffinition of  how the calculation is made.

Yet no way to give meaningful feedback to  EBAY design engineers.

i guess you are blossfully unaware of the problems that have plagued the cart for years. And the problems were made worse when eBay begin requiring immediate payment on BINs. And if you are running a sale/promotion, eBay doesn’t allow you to give any further discounts so the buyer can’t request an invoice either. The realquestion is, why doesn’t ebay fix the cart?

There is a Technical Issues Board.

 

And there is a weekly Chat on the Selling Board every Wednesday from 4:00 to 5:00 Eastern time, 1:00 to 2:00 Pacific time.  You could just copy and paste your OP into the Chat.  Alan, Community Head, and the Blue Team answer questions, or refer input to the proper departments.

One could always whack their head into a block wall too... (not suggesting anyone do that, only that it will be nearly as effective).  I'm actually surprised the OP says eBay fixed a problem within 2 years, that would generally be "soon", for them.

That is quite a list.  First it would be important to know and understand the rules that are suppose to govern the function you are after.  Some of what you say is certainly an Ebay issue, others are just a misunderstanding of how to use the function / option.

 

You have already received great advice on how to better communicate with Ebay, so I'll leave that one alone.

As do most people.  I'm not sure where you are going to get this information, but I use the Seller Hub and the info is there by calendar month.  Where are you trying to pull the info from?

I'm not sure I understand this concern, so if I'm off base, just ignore me.  But it seems to me that it would be far easier to change your label than to get Ebay to change theirs.  Ebay would never change this just because a fraction of the overall sellers had this issue.  It would need to be a big issue.

They aren't igoring it, most of the time it doesn't work.

I'm grateful for the sales.  I know this is annoying, but I just refund my buyer for the overpayment of shipping and move forward.  While certainly an issue, I don't find I have buyers purchasing multiple items as often as I did 2014 and prior.

Oh you had me there to begin with.  It seems you didn't mean what your first statement was, about getting rid of RETURNS OPTION.  That of course would never happen.  I'm with you, with the introduction of the Seller Hub, Ebay took the returns out of the Resolution Center.  I don't know why, it doesn't make sense to me either.  I'm with you on this one for sure.

I agree that there are many things that ebay could set up to make things more efficient.

 

One thing that you could change to save yourself a step...your listings state:

Shipments to CANADA OVER $1.70 ARE ALWAYS LOWER THAN THE QUOTED INTERNATIONAL RATE.

 

You can set up a separate rate for Canada,it doesn’t have to be lumped in with other countries.  Click on add another international service, in location put in Canada and add the rate etc.  I only looked at one listing so I apologize if you sre already doing that on other listings.

I will explore this, but on first pass it does not appear to be possible with File Exchange which I use as it is the best option for an inventory my size.
