I mean, the return window is 30 days, eBay says this:

30 calendar days after the estimated or actual delivery date

Honestly I wouldn't worry since the buyer can't open a return now, I would be careful if they give you negative feedback though

I am not an eBay employee but I sure feel like one sometimes

Actually, I've had returns opened after 30 days.  The only difference was that the post-30 return had the option to decline the return (refuse to accept it).

I've even had a couple of customers buy as-is/for parts and then return them because....wait for it....they were only good for parts!! These are the geniuses that really make me wonder how humanity ever advanced beyond cave painting and banging rocks for tools.

Worst part -- eBay sided with them!!!  The Return was opened as INAD, even tho the items were exactly as described.  But eBay would not close the return and the buyer got a full refund...plus return shipping!!

Not every category supports AS-IS/FOR PARTS condition, but when they do, it always looks something like this:

"For parts or not working: The item does not function as intended and is not fully operational. This includes items that are defective in ways that render them difficult to use, items that require service or repair, or items missing essential components. See the seller's listing for full details" - eBay Help Page for Item Condition.

So yeah - buyers can do a lot of weird things with Returns and eBay will back them up.  But I have yet to see a post-30 return not include the "Not Required To Accept" statement and the Decline Return option.

Of all the things that irritate me about eBay, and online selling in general -- it's the inconsistancy.  Why make rules and 'best practices' if you're not going to back them up for sellers as well as buyers.

They can still file for a return, but since the MBG has expired, Ebay won't get involved.

The good news, not much they can do through Ebay.

If they paid through Pay Pal, they can always open a case with them or contact their credit card.

It stinks, but not much we can do if we want to sell online.
