Do I have to have a Business account or enhanced subscription, other than the basic eBay account, to offer Promotional Shipping Discounts?  I can go into the shipping preferences and add a Promotional Shipping rule but there doesn't appear to be any way to apply it to any of my listings.   Ebay's instructions are as follows:   To add a new rule to any current listing: Go to the active listings  page Select Revise, then Apply my promotional shipping rule. There does not appear to by any "Apply my promotional shipping rule"  option on the Revise page.  Am I missing something or is this something that is only available to business type accounts?  Is there a way to apply Promotional Shipping rules to listings on a regular account?     ... Today I awoke to phone notifications, emails, and a red banner across my seller hub saying that ^.  I've been on MP for over a month now, after (fully) verifying my bank account when I registered, and receiving my payouts just fine.   But when I clicked on the hyperlink to do this "update" (whatever that meant) it just immediately went to a screen saying "You're all set!  Thanks for verifying your account."  I did it repeatedly, even logging out and back in, and the banner just stayed, plus an additional phone notification and email.  So I called customer service.  I usually luck out and get pretty good CSR's but this one was awful.  He kept contradicting himself about whether my payments were really on hold, and whether this notification junk would stop in "a few" hours or 24 hours.   And if I understood his bad English correctly, I never even needed to do anything; it was just some kind of verification automated between Ebay and my bank.  "Ma'am you needn't be concerned about that one" (why do ESL people always say "that one"?).   So why the heck stress out the seller if their involvement is not needed?  I have tried to maintain a positive attitude about the forced switch to MP, but if it's going to do stuff like this I will not be a happy camper.  You mess with my money, you mess with my emotions.  ... Does ebay not enforce its own policies? Specifically, that buyers must wait 7 days before posting neutral or negative feedback? I queried and all I get is the standard "we understand you are unhappy blah blah blah" with no definitive answer. Anyone else have this problem? ... View more

Thank you eBay for officially having the WORST customer service EVER!!!! As of today (more than 90 days after you arbitrary decided to restrict my eBay store), I’m still waiting for the “Availble Funds” I’ve been having on hold by you.  I’ve a called around 60 times during those 90 days to have a answer as to when I will be receiving the money I have honestly earned, through the last sales, I’ve spoken with around 100 agents (all following a script without talking a second to really listen what your problems is), and yet I still have no solution and no money.  The situation has become so alarming that I’ve recorded the last 2 conversations in which every time I had to spoke with 3 agents in each to finally finish the call with an unsolved problem.  One department puts you onto another and back to the first one, to later tell you “your account has been restricted and that is why the funds where placed on hold”.  Well, I ALREADY KNOW THAT!! That’s no the point or the issue. The point is that there’s more than $3,000 retained by eBay for more than 3 MONTHS.  Please someone explain why and when would the money be received. Your scheme is “shady and illegal” and I’m seeking legal advise for this matter.  Going through the recorded conversation it all seems to be an strategy to make the process so exhausting that you eventually will give up to what is rightfully yours and they can keep the revenue you made.  What a shameful experience and poor work ethics eBay seems to have.  ... I already printed the shipping label and the buyer now wants it to sent to a different address. I believe it was an honest mistake but since ebay will not provide seller protection for something like this, I informed the buyer that I will have to cancel the order and provide a refund.    However, there is no option to cancel the order. When I click to “void label” in ebay, it says it cannot be voided because ups will only charge once the shipping label has been used.   I contacted UPS and had them cancel the shipping label on their end. When I look up the tracking number, it says cancelled. However, ebay must not recognize this because I still do not have an option to cancel order.   Also, when I try to cancel through the resolution center on ebay, it does not give me any drop down menus or anything to select a reason. There is a button that says “view cancel details” and it takes me to a page saying my listing was removed or the item is not available” What is going on here?  Do I have to wait 5 days for ebay to automatically void the ups shipping label on their end, then will I have the option to cancel?  ... Apparently in the new Business Policy Shipping setup, there is no option to select the 'USPS First Class Mail International Letter' rate -- which was the only one I used previously to ship my First Day Covers to Europe for $1.20 using the USPS Global Forever Stamp.   When I selected the Shipping Policy option 'USPS First Class Mail International' I thought it was the same thing as 'USPS First Class Mail International Letter' that I had always used before. Unfortunately I quickly found out that is not at all the case. That shipping option, which sounds deceptively similar to the First Class Mail International Letter rate charges over $14 and my option is gone entirely.   I guess the hours I spent cleaning up eBays mess of 40+ Shipping Policies they 'created for me' will just be another huge waste of time, of which I now have to go back and change or eliminate again. There is no way on this polluted planet that I will be charging that rate, nor will my customers be willing to pay that ridiculous rate for item that often sell for less than $5-$10.    Apparently the only two options I have are to once again just opt out of Business Policies altogether and go back to my old item by item setting of policies, or just eliminate International Shipping altogether? What a colossal waste of time only to find out eBay is once again screwing over small sellers such as myself by playing word games and doing the two card Monty shuffle with Shipping rates.         ... Ebay recently sent an email that certain categories need new item specifics. Records sports cards need numerous specifics and while i am trying to edit in bulk it doesnt allow me to do so because you still have to go in and add records name titles and what type it is if we are listing in records and music that is automatically a record why cant i edit in bulk and is there another solution to make this easier ? Very annoying having to edit over 5,000 items again especially after a few months ago ebay asked the same thing to add item specifics wth i need to list more items to make more money not edit the thousand of items i have already edited in the past few months any suggestions  ... I sold a Trek Navigator 200 hardtail 26 In Tires 21in Frame w/ 24 GearsOrder number: 14-07059-76675 and the Post Office says that it is to big to deliver to Puerto Rico. I go online at ebay and get the following message: When I go to the ‘dashboard tab’ and try to view cancel details,  I get the following message… This listing has been removed, or this item is not available. e-bay with there new policy has held payment for 5 days now and just sent me a notice that it will clear to my bank in 1 to 3 days and yet they want me to send item within 3 days of purchase , how dose that work? I will not ship until payment is in the my bank # acc. so now my dashboard will be compromised  no fault of mine. I sold an item last week. The payment was deposited  into my checking account and I shipped the item the following day. Tonight I decided to check the tracking number to see if it had reached its destination. The tracking number said the delivery had failed due to there not being a secure location to leave the item. After reading this I messaged the buyer who claimed to know nothing of the purchase. Her response was, " no clue who you are or what this is about." I messaged her back, but she hasn't responded to my reply yet. Does anyone have any idea what could be going on here? Her account is also new with zero feedback.
