I have tried to relist several items that did not sell. My pictures have disappeared yet when I try to upload a duplicate picture it says it's too small. Tried calling ebay- that's time I'll never get back-solution suggested did not work. Redirected to seller hub which is very confusing & tried that way but still no joy. After 25 years I guess my selling days on here are over. Can anybody help?

How are you going about the relist? When did the items you are trying to relist actually end? Are you simply looking at your unsold items and clicking on the relist? I use that feature often and have never had a problem.

Per the picture policy:
When you create a listing or product, you must include at least one photo that is 500 pixels on the longest side, but we recommend including more to help increase your chances of a successful sale.

If your pics are too small, you will need to edit them and increase their size.

If you increase their size they'll degrade. Try putting them on a blank canvas that's 500 mp, but honestly, that's still really tiny and I would just retake photos.
ETA: I have no idea why this would end a 25 year account. Is there something else that's causing problems?

the pictures were fine when I listed the items but the next week when I tried to simply relist they were suddenly too small??? This makes absolutely no sense & the answer I got what from ebay was incomprehensible on so many levels.

Did you download the pictures from the previous listing? You may have only downloaded the thumbnails if so, which would be too small.

There is an option to do that?

You'd have to just right-click the pictures or drag and drop them, there's no built-in option in eBay to do it. I just know I always click on the picture to get the full size version and then save that if I do it, instead of right-clicking the thumbnail, but I think if they did right-click the thumbnail and save it, it would be the tiny version displayed there.

Interesting. When I relist an item, I don't even touch the pics. I just use the relist function and hit enter. But it is not often I have to use the relist function anymore since I use the OOS setting in inventory, so I typically just need to add some quantity now to bring them back to a live listing.

@vjbtld I think @brightlightbookseller is right - you probably downloaded the thumbnails. Right click on the actual image and copy/save under your preferred name.

This wouldn't be a true relist in this case, just a recreation of the listing, for whatever reason.

Sorry if my post was confusing or not well written. I'm aware that if I've just reviving a listing by adding quanity that it is not relisting the item.
From time to time I close a listing that I suddenly locate more inventory for, so I do need to relist it. I've just never had the problem with the small pics. I'm just trying to learn something new here. I didn't even know it was possible.

Gotcha. To tell the truth, I'm just theorizing, I haven't actually downloaded a thumbnail sized photo before, but it made sense to me. I just tested it, and it is indeed possible to download the thumbnail and not the full size photo just like I described, so I still suspect that's what happened here.
