Hello
Today I got an email from e bay
More flexibility over your payouts
We’ve introduced biweekly and monthly payout schedules, in addition to the existing daily and weekly options. Choosing a longer payout schedule may mean easier reconciliation, and may also provide more time for funds to accrue so you can use them towards selling expenses such as shipping labels and refunds
On-demand payouts are also available for sellers who have a weekly, biweekly, or monthly payout schedule, so you don’t have to wait for your next scheduled payout to get paid. You can request an on-demand payout in the Payments section of seller hub
I have it set to daily but it gives me options
Weekly
tuesdays
bi-weekly
Every other Tuesday
Monthly
First Tuesday of each month
is it well set to daily? or is it better to switch to other options?
thank you

I went to monthly: I don't have need to have the money fast;
With the new set up on can get it faster: (not sure if fees may be involved), but myself will not use such.
Hoping they can get it were we can use it to purchase. That has slowed sales down a bit: It was easy to spend what was in PP over the bank... LOL

We have 2 selling accounts. 1 have daily payouts and 1 has weekly (tuesday).
Going to wait to make any changes until the feature to retain dollars in your wallet and use to purchase. At that time, I will likely change to a longer time frame to be able to access funds - for now, no changes.

I do daily pay outs but after having a scare this weekend I might change that, esp. if you will be able do a on demand payout. Not sure what happen this weekend but went 36 hrs without one sale, hasn't happen in years but my store fee was due and not funds in the account. Lucked out and had a couple sales late Sunday, but nothing since Friday day. Wasn't much of a problem but in the last 2 months or so, pay outs have been pretty quick.

I got the same email today. I also noticed that when I check payouts when I am on my orders page and click on payments. On the left side of my page it says I can be one of the first ones to set up wallet. I will imagine it would be like PP was. Not sure yet and I am not in a hurry to run into a pile of glitches.

Every other site I sell on already has a wallet, and it does simply collect your funds so you can use them to purchase on the site, similar to what Paypal had.

I prefer weekly. It's a long enough time period to run comparisons.
Longer than that doesn't make sense to me from a cash flow management perspective.
Re wallet - I much prefer keeping buying and selling separate and just use the best points card for purchases

Letting ebay keep you money longer just lets them make interest on your money instead of you. with inflation going crazy, savings accounts rates are rising. also if you do need it "on demand", I believe it was stated by ebay that there would be a service fee AND it still not really on demand like paypal was- you still have to wait the 2-3 days for it to go through the banking system like normal so there is no real advantage to the seller- only ebay.....

I have no setup. My money is sent as soon as it is ready. I prefer that. One thing everyone should stop and think about is the more money you accumulate waiting for say a monthly payment, there is a possibility eBay uses that to settle a claim you might want to fight. I say get your money to your bank as soon as possible.

That is a bit like asking whether it is better to eat soup or salad.
Which do you prefer to eat? That is really all that matters.

Depends on your needs and circumstances. I switched to monthly immediately. Mainly for the reason you mentioned, reconciliation. My payments are usually not that large of an amount, today's was $400+. If it amounted to $1000's, I might opt for more frequent payouts.

Same email, didn't change my preferences. I like getting paid every week, always have a balance for postage and I see it as a weekly paycheck, same as any other job.
Actually, I should change it to every other week or bi-monthly, that'd be more job like, but not that important. I get paid, when I get paid.
