negative feedback

It is ridiculous that a buyer can leave negative feedback because they did not like a counteroffer

Just want to let you know he paid full price instead of counteroffering

Yes that is true but if you were the buyer and you made an offer only to have it countered by seller at 25 cents below the asking price would you counter? I'm sure the buyer felt insulted. The seller would have been better off just to refuse the offer instead of countering.

Call ebay, and keep calling until they remove the neg.

It's ridiculous, and unjustified.

Yea I was wondering this as I read your OP... I was thinking: but the buyer obviously bought the item at that price (or higher apparently since you said they paid full price). The buyer clearly is willing to pay full price for the item and they received it. So what's the problem???

Many buyers don't understand supply and demand and just insist on getting a discount on everything. This is why I don't deal with price negotiations. It angers the buyers that message me trying to negotiate. Some end up buying from me at full price, some don't. None have left me a negative feedback saying I refused to price negotiate with them.

I wonder if the OP's buyer chose to buy deliberately to leave a negative feedback. After all... it's only a quarter. I found one on the ground the other day.

I send them an offer which is about 5 dollars below my BIN price. If they send counteroffer which isn't within a range where I feel we can potentially reach a fair deal, then I decline. You would be surprised how many times I make a sale with someone who first sent me some insulting offer, and I'm generally not taking off more than 10%.

You can definitely have that removed then. Feedback must be relevant to the transaction. He sent you an offer, you countered, and he did not accept. Instead, he chose to pay full price. The offers were not part of the transaction which ultimately occured.  His feedback is not relevant to the transaction. You need to say it exactly like that when you contact CS.

Negatives always affect sale for small to average size sellers. I've seen my sales drop by as much as 25% for about a month after receiving a negative. It's not about buyers actually looking at feedback. I think very few do that until after they have a problem. It's eBay's algorithm which punishes us.
