item Specifics

I sold a item. Filled out all “Item specifics" as requested by ebay. Listed as material Vinyl. Buyer says i did not describe the doll as vinyl. I said yes item is listed as Vinyl read in "Item specifics". Buyer stated they could not find “Item specifics”. I sent a screen shot where it shows the material and tried walking buyer threw it. Buyer stated no such thing as "Item specifics" that they could find. Then left Neg feedback. WHAT THE HECK!! :ANOTHER NOTE. This went threw ebays new international program. They do all the foot work, otherwise I would not ship international.

Not seeing any Neg on your posting account at the present time. Has it been removed now, or are we talking about another account? If the latter, can you post the item number?

Just a couple of observations, which may or may not be factors:

People using mobile devices do not always see the same thing that people using desktops see.

Listings are sometimes so overloaded and crowded with ads for "similar" items that a buyer can get lost while scrolling to find the item specifics and descriptions for the listing in question.

Sounds like you may want to be threw with this particular buyer.

'Item Specifics' are used when a 'buyer' searches for something and is NOT to 'replace' what you stated in the Written Description. If you counted on Item Specifics to cover that for you- then you are at fault.

for the most part item specifics are a waste of time.  if they were filled out correct there should be no legit returns if ebay offered real seller protection.

Congratulations, it appears the FB has been removed.  The new EIS program is a good one.

FYI, while I too use the ISBs [item specific boxes] it is important that your written description is complete too.

I had a similar problem with a buyer a couple years ago and I said in my title it was a pattern, it was in a pattern category on Ebay, the ISBs said it was a pattern as did the description and just for icing on the cake, the pics showed it was a pattern.  But my buyer insisted I did not tell them it was a pattern and was mad as heck that they got a pattern.  Some buyers are just a real head scratcher !!!!!

That is actually not correct.  The search engine not only searches in the title for whatever someone put in the search box, but also in the ISBs.  FYI, that is Ebay's Search engine and Googles and Google searches bring in a whole lot of buyers to Ebay, so don't forget the importance of Google too.
