If I end a listing, can I archive that listing and bring it back in the fall?

@oldguy269

Ended listings will only remain in your Unsold folder on eBay for 90 days before being purged and removed from the site.

eBay recently made some changes to how long draft listings can be saved that can help you with saving this listing until fall.

https://www.ebay.com/sellercenter/resources/seller-updates/2024-winter/business#drafts

If you want to save an ended listing to bring it back in the fall, you can use Sell similar from the ended listing and then save it to drafts. You must update the draft before its expiration every 75 days and save it again until you are ready for the listing to go live again.

Do you have the OOS (out of stock) option turned on?

If so, set the quantity to "0".

The listing will remain there as "0" available or "out of stock"   until you add stock.

I believe you can let it sit with "0" for 90 days.

If you need more time, before 90 days is up, set the quantity to "1" for a minute, then back to "0" and you're good for another 90 days.

I believe the OOS with (0) has been extended to 6 months.

good suggestions from the replies, but keep in mind that it isn't foolproof.

"drafts" have been known to just disappear.

To go along with the inhawaii suggestion........................  I do my OOS (0)  quantity boosts, and then reduce back to (0) when on time away. The suggested 1 minute should be good, but perhaps someone could buy in that 1 minute.   For me it is critical as my OOS is truly OOS while I am sourcing inventory to replenish.

You can also add a crazy amount of money to the price of the item so no one would ever buy it and then change it back to normal later. I do that whenever I discover that an item is missing in my sku system.

One whole minute? I change it to qty 1 from the hub active listings page, and the very second it's updated I change it back to 0. Never an issue.
