How does "Genuine "The Manufacturer Name" Part, this is not 3D Printed" get flagged and removed for Search Manipulation? I lost a bid and got charged $8.70 plus I don't like the feeling that I am trying to deceive someone or promote bad business practices . I am very upset
Re-listed the item with "Genuine "The Manufacturer Name" Part" and got flagged again for being in the wrong category. The category I used, 85% of the listings are for parts for this manufacturer, why couldn't I be a part of 85%
I got charged 3 listing fees of 25c. With this, Payment holds on items that I had positive feedback on or which have been delivered, International Fees on items that are shipped to a United States address, Fees on Sales Tax and shipping, the list goes on..... I am getting a bit feed up with eBay. I have been a member since 1998, 100% positive feedback

@lindahf wrote:Why didn't eBay customer service explain it that way "One genuine rock, this is not from Mars, Venus, Mercury, Neptune, Uranus, Jupiter, Saturn or the Moon." and it should be "Rock garden", now it make a lot more sense. I still think it was an innocent and don't know why they took down the listing when there was one bid on it.
It’s not possible to edit a listing after a bid has been received, so even if they notify you, you can’t fix it.

I think what he is trying to say is that he has an original "rare" OEM part that can only be obtained as a 3D printed copy, which may not be as durable etc..
I did not see the item.
I do not think he is trying to manipulate, just calling attention to the fact it is "real"

Why didn't eBay customer service explain it that way
Take-downs was likely done by an automated program or else triggered by complaints received (that is less likely in your individual case, though).
The customer service reps are working from prepared scripts for common problems that are provided to them and are not necessarily privy to all the details of how things are done behind the scenes.

What about this.
I did not see the item, but what about wording like this.
"Genuine Nagra widget"
Rather than
"Nagra widget, not 3d printed"
That would resolve the problem and convey you have an original part.
You have really nice equipment, you will get a lot of worldwide views.

Head Adjustment Tool for Nagra SN & SNST - Genuine Nagra part
Here is the listing as it now. It is a tiny part that is hard to come by so can command a high price (I hope). I feel sorry for the person who bid on it and then it disappears, I hope they come back. They were in Switzerland. This was the original
This is a part that could be 3D printed I believe (I have never used that kind of printer) so I wanted to make it clear that it was a Genuine Nagra manufactured part.
Is every body who reply here happy with eBay's current seller's arrangements? I have a LOT more valuable thing to sell and a little worried that I am going to have continued problems/issues with eBay

EBay does not want to run good sellers off.
The problem is "not, I guarantee it.
"Genuine Nagra head alignment tool for model SN SNST"
Yours is great!
I wrote catalogs for a auction company for several years.
Technical and medical stuff.
The program we used works just like the ebay title. You have to cram tons of info into a tiny item title.
The term Nagra along with the model numbers will bring in interested parties.
Best of luck!

@lindahf wrote:I know that NOW and still find it kind of hard to accept when I am trying to confirm that the item is a "Genuine" part and not done with a 3D printer. Also have you seem what happens when you search 3D printer? I don't think the term "3D printer" would give me an advantage? I repeat, I just wanted to inform buyer that my items is "Genuine" and manufactured by the original manufacturer rather someone printing this on a 3D printer.
eBay is not going to let your policy violation slide just because you do not think your specific policy violation gives your listing an advantage.
You seem to be hoping that a human being at eBay is going to look at your listing and evaluate your use of "not" on a case-by-case basis and decide whether to pull your listing or not.
There are 1.5 billion listings on eBay, and that is just not going to happen.

I had a plain rock that I found in my backyard. I was thinking of listing it as: One genuine rock, this is not from Mars, Venus, Mercury, Neptune, Uranus, Jupiter, Saturn or the Moon.
Instead I decided to start a rock garden. Didn't want to get flagged.
Don't forget to mention that it is "not a fossil", "not a meteorite", "not a 10 carat diamond" and "not obtained from the estate of Michael Jackson".

Still don't understand why not be straight forward and call it what it is "this is not 3D Printed". I must be getting old??????
Because that is NOT what it IS, that is what it is NOT - and absolutely no reason to add that to any listing.
I am getting old too, but I know buyers do not read properly, and telling them what it is not is counter productive - and yes search manipulation.
