I don't think eBay will ever transform so people refer to it as eBay2.0.  New & improved.  I just see it as eBay0.0.  eBayLite!  Last 21 days, I have 17 zero days.  The last 2 months have been beyond awful!  Never seen such a drastic plummet in sales.  21 years of selling online.  I would average about 20 sales a week.  Now I average 2-3.  Some weeks, I had as many as almost 45 sales.  Of course, as some will tell you, this is MY fault.  I have no idea how to sell; what to present for sale nor how to use eBay's "tools."   lol   The normal "ebb & flow" of selling?  Then how come it took 21 years to see this kind of trend?  lol  Good luck to us all.  🙂

Unfortunately the economy is bad and people are holding onto their disposable income and others no longer have any spare income for luxury items. Most of it is ending up in their gas tanks.

You might get some clues by reading the newspaper or watching the news. The world we're living in has been turned upside down. People just aren't buying non-essentials right now like they were before. I lost $25,000 this last week in the stock market because of this world's condition. Hang in there. Things have to get better.

The trend you see now hasn't happened in 40 years—the rate of inflation continues to dog the economy. Coupled with the sudden sharp rise in gas costs, this has also driven up staple costs. The world is filled with unrest, worried it may be teetering on the brink of another world war.

We sellers are feeling the results of all this uncertainty.

I read on Yahoo last week that ebay was losing both buyers and sellers at a good rate. Yahoo said that ebay doesn't have a good marketing platform and horrible customer service. This is all para-phrasing because I can't remember the exact wording but this is basically what it said. I tend to believe this because I am selling more on little ole M then here.

You have been complaining for years.  This slowdown in sales is not a sudden event.

Obviously the world conditions paly a part but botched rollout of managed payment the last 2 years really fouled up ebay- lost tons of buyers and sellers. No advertising. the search has to be one of the worst on the internet- AI prediction is terrible and hides most relevant listings.  The new listing tool that is keeping us from adding new inventory, every time hey change the platform or update it- historically the sales drop for a month or so while the "search AI relearns what to do"...........Ebay is at fault just like first poster mentioned

We have only seem to have 20-30  transactions a week out of 500+ possibles and a handful of thos tend to go unpaid, we are highly considering dropping the subscription, no point in burning the time and energy to max out 1700 listings.. if 500 hardly even moves.

Yet, you keep reading my complaints  & replying.  1-3 sales a week is a sudden event.

It's been hard from April to now.  I find that people are just not bidding on the nice decorative stuff that I could sell before.  If I have something rare, it does well.  But now I'm selling maybe 1 item in 10, even 15, that's awful, and it will probably remain so thru the summer, which is traditionally slow anyway.  So I will hang on til the fall when, after all, there's Christmas shopping to be done!  If I can afford it, I am selling items at a pretty low starting bid as well.  It seems people won't even look at an item unless it's $5 or less, LOL!  Interestingly enough though, we have done two flea markets so far this year (weather too cold and windy so far here in New England), and sales were pretty good.  It makes more sense to sell $5 to $20 items there, since no packing, picture taking, etc. exists at the flea market, only a setting up fee (down side is getting up at 3:00 AM to get out there and set up!).  Inflation has people unwilling to spend a lot.  Like it's been said here, things have to get better!

Inflation is killing me.  My pet medication has gone from $19.99 to $27.99 in six weeks.    Bacon in our neck of the woods is $8 a pound.

I cannot afford non-necessities.  But,  we got rid of the nasty tweets.
