We have been waiting for this to materialize for a few years now
(Investors heard about a new payments feature - eBay’s first digital wallet. Beginning next quarter, sellers will be able to store sale proceeds in their digital wallet, getting near instant access to use those funds to shop on eBay. This is the ultimate eBay flywheel and will power the future of our “sell to buy” shoppers. )
Now we can pay for purchases on eBay with our funds from sales instead of our bank account
Thank you eBay staff for following through with your promises & for listening to our needs
Just another example of if you have an idea & let eBay staff know about it they will pass it on

What credit card offers 5% cash back for general purchases?
One of a couple I have. Works well when linked to PayPal.

"One (of many) question, once I put money in the wallet and decide I want the money sent to bank, can I, is there a fee, is it instant?"

THAT's where my mind went, too. Verbage means a lot, especially in this biz. We've all been affected by TOS.

Look how cute you are, Kat! LOL

Is eBay dining, gas, groceries, travel, a streaming service, a drugstore, home improvement store, fitness club, or live entertainment?

@tools* eBay worked out a partnership with Chase Freedom for at least Q1 22, not sure if it's going to be extended beyond that. Slide from Investor Day presentation.

Is it the same $75 maximum for 5% cash back? If it is, that isn't very much.

What you asked me was what cards offered 5% cash back on general purchases. I don't consider eBay to fall into the general purchases category. As I mentioned the Chase freedom card is one of several I have. I also have a couple of others that offer up to 3+% on any purchase regardless. Even 3% is probably more than you are going to get out of the digital wallet.

I wonder if you can pre-fund it. This is actually a good thing

Now that eBay has started a wallet to hold our funds for up to a month,
Will someone work on a way to use these funds when we purchase something on eBay so we dont have to use our banking account every time
When we check out there is nowhere to pay with our available funds
Why would we want to leave our funds in this ebay holding account for a month if we cannot use these funds to make our purchase with

They haven't instituted the wallet yet............so no one knows they exact parameters of the program. One assumes the Wallet could be used for ebay purchases and that it will be voluntary.......

I don't understand what the purpose is, nor do I see a benefit to using it. There must be some purpose and/or benefit as there are people using it, but danged if i can see it. Of course the benefit to eBay is obvious.
