Received an email (not through eBay's email system) with an invite to join a live webinar about joining "eBay US Customer Support Services". Email was titled "Earn money helping other sellers on eBay". Went to the link in the email and the page appeared legit. Anyone else get this email? TIA.

Any issue not related to creating listing is to directed to EB CS in this program...from what I understand... so does that mean for every question(s) you need to direct inquirer to EB CS you get $1.20 - since it would be right answer? If so, sign me up, I'll be raking in the dough! 🤣@nuclearomen I had the same thought.
There are two ways you get paid for an answer - one is to get a positive rating from the seller asking the question. Having some experience with doing similar customer service related tasks for my company where our customers can rate us in live chat - all I can say is I don't believe any response that basically says "sorry, you will have to contact eBay Customer Support for that" is likely to get a 4 or 5 star rating no matter how nicely you put it. 😉
The other way to get paid is for other Experts to rate your answer. I would hope that the name/user id of the expert answer is not shown to the other experts in this peer review process to avoid bias, but I'm not sure if that is the case.
Either way, I suspect that contacts which are forwarded either to another expert or to eBay CS probably don't count.
I understand that concern about having the other experts rating you, but we are all suppose to be adults here. Carrying personal grudges into a program like this because you may or may not like that particular member for some reason should not play a part in this process. We all should be grown up enough to not let that play into the process. IDK if the ID displays, my guess would be it doesn't. But that is only a guess.
@mam98031 - it wasn't a comment on a specific concern or the maturity of eBay community members in general.
It was just an observation that in any situation where there is peer review like this involved, especially when that process may have monetary consequences, it would seem prudent to design the program to avoid bias - to whatever degree that may be realistically possible.

My comment was my opinion of what you stated as a possibility. Nothing more. It would be my hope that the vetting process would prevent members with such a mindset from even entering the program as they certainly would not belong in the program. It is a HELP program, not a seek and create issues where possible. Again, just my opinion.

I signed up for this even though the pay is not much because I am on SSDI and a LITTLE bit more money would be nice.
The practice questions did deal with the QL form a lot, which made me laugh since they want experienced sellers. They must have forgotten that experienced sellers most likely have NEVER seen the QL form.
I logged into my buying account and started a draft so I could answer the questions.

I only had one question about the QL form, and it was just asking the difference between QL and the advanced form. The rest were just general selling questions.
I saw the QL form once a long time ago on my other account. Of course I immediately swapped to the better, advanced listing form.

Just to add to that, it is my understanding the QLF is going away. Once everyone is transitioned to the new Listing Form it will be the same for all sellers.
And you are so right, I have NEVER used the QLF, I have always used ALF [advanced listing form].

I watched a YouTube tutorial on the QL form to answer one of the questions and you are correct, it was the first time I have seen this form. I don't have another account, but I like your idea of starting a draft. I will have to see if my partner will let me use his account to "play" with the QL form.

@southern*sweet*tea My practice questions dealt with how to set up the shipping on the QL form. I had the same question in my tasks a couple of times... I am not sure if they didn't think I answered it completely enough or if that was all that was left after others answered questions.
I only answered two other general questions and then received an email to answer a few more but there are not anymore. I messaged them and they said that they are reviewing my practice questions so I guess 4 tasks are all the practice I need. LOL

@mam98031 Then we can all stumble around and help each other when the new form is rolled out to all. I have seen the form and not a fan. It's not really hard to understand, just takes more time to list an item.
I am sure the boards will LIGHT up when it rolls out. The QL form is better than the new form. 😞

Wow that is saying a lot. I am perfectly fine with ALF. It works just fine for me and gives me access to all the fields on one screen [scrolling up and down]. QLT hides things that I find important.

@mam98031 The new form has a sidebar POP out that you have to click edit to access for every section. I like the ALF too! I don't even list that much and will miss it.
I am getting off-topic. Sorry.

I got the email after three questions. There was only one left on my dashboard, something about the best way to sell and promote antiques. I'm just going to pretend I don't see it. 😋 I only intend to answer stuff I know, and since I don't promote anything, I'm not gonna go there lol
I figure if I can get paid to do what I do here, even if it's only a buck, then why the heck not? Extra money is extra money.

@valueaddedresource wrote:@go-bad-chicken in general, after going through just the initial onboarding stuff, it looks to me like this is more of a "ticket system" than a "live chat" system.
The UK case study was showing they are averaging < 3 minute response times, so it doesn't sound like sellers are waiting too long for responses - though of course that doesn't give a lot of detail. That could just be time it takes to get a response that says something to the effect of "let me look into this further"?
@go-bad-chicken and everyone else - I have to revise my response here.
Limitless calls it a ticketing system, and the initial pictures I saw looked pretty much just like a standard ticketing system, but after going back through some of the reference YouTube videos, it looks to me like once you click into and accept a "ticket", it functions much more like a live chat. The customer facing side looks like a live chat as well, so for all intents and purposes I'd call it a live chat.
So I think as long as the expert who takes the ticket can be available to engage in a back and forth chat or quickly forward to another available expert or eBay CS who can do that, sellers hopefully shouldn't be left waiting too long for answers.

yeah, so they say, have you used the new listing form? I had the option but never tried it so not sure what it consists of. But like you I use the ALF with HTML (granted I just do basic HTML, I don't like the idea of fanzy listings, just simple line breaks, bold, underline, font, paragraph markup.

@nuclearomen. Yes I got early access to it. It's still a work in progress and they are supposed to be adding more features but having to click edit to open a sidebar pop-up for EACH section has got to be the dumbest idea I have ever seen. I gave my feedback to the team, it was far from favorable.

Mine is not the new listing form. I know we both asked for it, and you were the lucky soul that ended up with it. LOL
I still have my beloved ALF. I'm guessing I really need to get busy and list this large stack of books I have here before they change my world with the new listing form!!!
