When eBay fully enables photos in feedback, will eBay remove and moderate any photos that contain the following:
-Personal information such as addresses (doxxing).
-Screenshots of private messages with seller.
-Screenshots of tracking information.
I've had too many instances where buyers will write negative feedback to inappropriately inquire about the status of their order instead of sending us a private message. Feedback should only be used to review the quality of the product you purchased, not to harass/smear the seller.
Does eBay have any plans to handle such scenarios? Argue all you want, because it doesn't matter how well of a job you do as a seller, there's always going to be that 1% who will never be satisfied and will do whatever they can to make trouble for us.

Most negative feedback is not even close to being a full representation of any issues that might occur. They need to do away with feedback altogether as it is not needed for eCommerce any longer. Negative feedback is too often abused by buyers these days and leaves out critical information as to why such may have actually occurred. People can simply say "did not arrive" as their negative feedback but WHY did it not arrive for example, was the reason actually the sellers fault? Usually it is the fault of USPS and us sellers have to take it in the shorts taking financial loss to cover the backside of a multi-million dollar corporation! And then receiving negative feedback to boot! I know we can contact eBay and appeal inaccurate/misleading feedback but who has the time to actually do that??? If you don't like the way a seller conducts themselves then you have many other options on eBay to buy from someone you do like. Everyone's interpretation of what a positive transaction should be is in fact different so taking someone else's advise for such is silly because you may have been perfectly satisfied with any given transaction when someone else is not, even though the transactions occurred in the very same fashion. We all have different standards we live by in life and view the world around us not to mention our own personnel little quirks/pet peeves, ect.....If you don't like someones business policies or practices you can simply shop someplace else. What I don't like about buyers also being able to leave photos is they can in fact give information away to our competition that we may not want those other sellers to see. Even positive feedback can give away important business info we wish to keep to ourselves. This to me violates our personal privacy rights. I have a right in my life to keep certain things to myself! EBAY HATES IT'S SELLERS PLAIN AND SIMPLE! We are nothing more than a host for them to extract money from, our well being and what is important to us as individuals is entirely irrelevant to them......eBay at least give us the option to deactivate photos in feedback if we choose to. Some people may actually want photos and that is great, so be it, then they can activate the CHOICE. We have no choice of what is best for our own individual businesses here on eBay, that is the real problem with eBay. Our freedom and freewill is entirely gone at this point. Why do I stay here selling after over 25 years, I have no idea? I guess I am lazy and just want to process orders rather than put in the effort to also generate orders for myself, but the costs of being lazy are becoming too high now, not just monetarily but personally as well. 😞

Why leave a meaningless rant on an old thread that will just be closed by the mods?
