I really got into this i dont mind to not making money for the first 2 - 3 mounth while getting more feedbacks and raisng my reputation however every item i think to list him he has like 1-10 peaople who alredy selling it with high feedback how i supposed to compete him with 0 feedback?

Delivery time to me on the doll auction is 31-40 BUSINESS days. That's 7-8 weeks!!

12 1/2 inches is similar to the size of a real baby?? How small are kids in Israel at birth anyway? All of my kids were 20+ inches at birth. Child birth would be a breeze if the baby was only as long as a ruler + 1/2 inch.

It did used to be posssible to have at least a moderately successful business here on Ebay by Drop-shipping. But that was a very long time ago. And your particular situation is especially unfavorable for Drop shipping. Because you live in Isreal, you have an exceedinly long delivery time estimate. Even worse you are selling something already being sold here by thousands of other competitors. Why should anyone buy from you instead of from them?

Getting some Positive Feedback is not gong to make much difference in terms of your goiing to be able to make some money here. Sorry. But that's the way it is.

so what if i live in israel? do even you know what dropshiping means?

anyway i dont loose anything, i better try for a copule month and see how it goes, i dont mind to loose 100$ and see its not gonna work then not trying at all!

OP~~I do have 1 question. Why, if these items are shipped from the USA only to USA buyers is there a 30 day handling time and up to 8 weeks from the sale for a buyer to receive the item? Is it because of the 21 day hold on funds that ebay places on new sellers? Do you think that you can sell these items, get your money from ebay after 21 days and THEN order the items to be sent to your buyers?

If so, it doesn't work that way. You have to prove through tracking that the items have been sent and received by your buyers before ebay releases your money to you. If your dropshipper wants to be paid ahead of time you need to have $$ to pay him in your hand because ebay isn't going to release your funds until you have had the item shipped. If ebay holds your $$ your 21 day hold starts counting down 30 days after you made the sale since you have a 30 day handling time. It would be up to 2 months before you get your money released by ebay~~and then only if your buyers have received the item and are happy with it.

I see an identical doll to the one you had listed. The seller is in Cyprus and the doll is in the USA. That listings says the items are in various locations in the USA and "will be shipped from one of our USA based warehouses". It appears to me you are using a China dropshipper? BTW~~the doll you wanted $30.00 for is being sold for $21.55 with IMMEDIATE shipping & FAST delivery from one of the "USA based warehouses". Your terms can't compete with your own competition.

If you are using a China dropshipper~~ that along with your handling and delivery times are a recipe for disaster before you even start.

You believe we are all afraid of competition from you so don't want you to sell? That couldn't be further from the truth. We're trying to advise you against doing what you plan because once ebay suspends your selling ability it is for LIFE. They will NEVER allow you to sell on ebay again after they suspend you.

It isn't because any of us fear your competition~~we all have our own sources of things to sell & have been established here for years. I wouldn't even think of doing what you are planning to do~~that's why I have been here over 17 years and have over 6,000 feedback. I did it all by finding my own items to sell, listing them and shipping them all myself~~not relying on a dropshipper to do the work.

wow guys relax i didnt even got confrim yet by ebay, i didnt start listing anything just learning the basic of listing and how dropshiping works, anyway im gonna change it to 1 - 2 handle time...

Most of us are agreeing with you........that listing items that have a number of people selling them probably is not going to work well..........

So you listed the baby doll and then took it down just to learn how listing works? You do know that eBay only gives you a certain number of listings and dollar amount you can have so don't waste them all on your "tests".

"Listing items that have a number of people selling them probably is not going to work well". I don't think there is anything listed on ebay that doesn't have "a number of people" selling the same thing. It works well for MANY of us.

OP~~I see you gained another positive feedback buying from a China seller. If you are trying to build feedback buying cheap junk from China it isn't going to help your feedback either~~may as well save your money. If you haven't even been accepted by ebay yet to sell how were you able to list the doll?

You're right--the OP asked a question and got answers to THAT question and then expects answers that don't even pertain to the question asked. We aren't mind readers.

OP~~before offering 1-2 day handling time be sure that time frame is also the policy of your drop shipper. If you promise 1-2 day handling time and your shipper doesn't ship until day 3 or later you're toast.

I agree with Mr. C~~your business model isn't the problem~~it's your attitude.

Newbies come here every day asking advice and they come with the attitude to accept advice given~~those are the ones it's a pleasure helping. "Checking your profile"? You don't have a profile worth checking. You have 3 feedback as a buyer and an auction you listed and immediately cancelled. That isn't much of a "profile". You believe you're getting bad advice because we all are afraid of competition if you are selling? I hardly think so.

You've been advised of the pitfalls of using dropshippers. I told you what I know of buyers who use dropshippers and the picture isn't pretty.

Go ahead and use a dropshipper~~do anything you want. I really don't care if you are here today and suspended tomorrow. Ebay doesn't care if you succeed or not. Ebay expects sellers to know what they are doing and if you don't all it takes is a click by ebay and you're gone.

Good luck but I don't see you as a success on ebay.

ok then kattinsanity thank you ill do my best to sell the lowest and quality items with the fastest delivery time as possible, ill list item with a good html desin, ill be on touch with my buyers 24\7. if after a 1 - 2 month i see its not it ill stop i dont mind losing few buck. anyway i felt like everyone here attacking me because i list item with 30 day handle time. i just got messed with listing. first time i click sell and didnt know really what im doing, i wont open another list if its not a perfect as a buyer will like to see, have a nice day to all and good sells 🙂
