There are people who are done with eBay, and people who are not. And there are people who have problems with buyer fraud, and people who do not.
I get paid every week like clockwork. You say it takes forever to get paid - how long is "forever"?

"...forever...."
seriously, do you think this is different than any other online platform?

In some aspects yes and in some no. It is both worse and better depending on which platform you are comparing it to. It was some of those differences that opened the door(s) to the competition.

Said it before and I'll say it again. eBay is full of sellers cruising along, Making money, Not suffering any real problems, Getting paid on a regular basis.
For instance, 30 days in November and I received payouts about on about 25 of them.
What's forever?

For a LONG time eBay has been buyer centric and most sellers are well aware of that fact and deal with the risks on an individual basis. I would tend to agree that the scamming appears to be increasing along with less than kosher buyer activity but I have no data to back that up and eBay is NEVER going to release that information.

Please tell me where elsewhere people are going where they are having success. I honestly don't think I can sell here anymore with the new 'check is (in the) after the mail' policy. Certainly not as a business.
I just made a $250 sale and realized I probably won't see anything until after Christmas, and even then only if there are no disputes or mishaps. Who can budget for that on a regular basis? It sounds wayy to stressful.

What it sounds like to you, and what it really is, are two different things. Ive only done a few listings since MP came in, no problems, no stress, as a matter of fact, I like it.

Yes, as an occasional seller, with no recent track record, eBay will Hold your customer's payment for 30 days.
Once you have met the requirements, you can change to weekly (default), daily, or monthly payments.
But you have to prove yourself first.
Even with Paypal, which did front sellers the payments, we could still lose that payment to a PP or credit card dispute for 180 days from payment.
If you need cash immediately, use a local site, like Kijiji or Craigslist, and ask for payment in cash.
