WOW. That is too bad. I mostly enjoyed selling but with the endless shipping cost increases, massive business interruptions and displacements because of government decisions, and other problems, it got to be a major burden at the end.

If you continue selling, set your BUYER RESTRICTIONS! (not the exact term eBay uses). You can block buyers with ZERO feedback, unpaid strikes, and buyers with low feedback. Once I did that, most of the problem buyers disappeared BUT of course you will still get some that slip through. The only way to block all the problem buyers is to STOP SELLING. That for sure will stop them!
Go into your account and setup the parameters right away

Ebay has NEVER allowed the blocking of buyers with zero FB or buyers with low FB. That never happened.

It may get much worse. The job losses from the virus may be permanent and that will cause sales to suffer long term. The business displacements may just be getting started - I know, it sounds crazy, but its crazy people doing these things. So... buckle up for more fun in 2021, 2022, and beyond

Going to be really difficult to find a site. eCommerce is very dangerous because of the lack of personal contact. These buyers wouldn't get away with these scams as easily going to a physical store.

Brick and Mortar stores are completely different than eCommerce.. the "shrink" figures are much lower, until 2020 with all the looting. There was a story last year that showed the return rates for major eCommerce companies. Most average sellers wouldn't survive those rates. They ranged from 10% to 70% , depending on the category of items.

No, they have. I had that setup a number of years ago and it continued until I closed up a few months ago. Unless they changed it

Right, feedback of -1 or lower. Not zero. You are right. They should change that though.

Change it to what? I mean granted buyers can no longer get negative FB so they would never achieve -1 FB unless they did some selling under the same account. But Ebay will never give us a block for new buyers nor should they. That would be a potential disaster for all of us.
Just imagine walking into Target. There is a greater at the door. They ask you if you have ever shopped there before. Your answer is no. The Target employee then announces to you that you must leave as Target is no longer serving new customers. Sounds silly doesn't it!!!
Obviously a very bad business decision to do something like that.

I just decided this morning to stop as well. I was willing to give the new system a chance but waiting the 3-4 days for payment to clear and then another 3-4 until my bank actually processes it? But I have to pay for a label and **bleep** out immediately? But eBay makes sure to get their 12%+ immediately. No thanks.
I just did this part time to make some extra money on the side. Now it's not worth the hassle and aggravation and I hope more sellers drop out and eBay realizes their stupidity.

Clearing payments in MP take 1-2 days before it moves to Available to Transfer on the next Business day. Once the money is transferred to your bank account by MP, it enters the ACH banking system. How long it takes for that deposit to land at your bank is due to the banking system, not anything that MP did or does. For example, I do weekly deposits. So every Tuesday morning MP releases my transfer. By noon on Wednesday I have the deposit in my bank account, I do bank with a major bank. Some smaller more localized banks may take longer. 1-4 days for deposits depending upon your bank.
As to the shipping charges. When you are in MP you can CHOOSE to have your shipping charges funded by MP or paid through PP. Seller choice when they use the Ebay label system.
As to the fees, they are slightly less that we paid before MP. For example before MP you might have been paying 10% FVF to Ebay and 2.9% to PP, for a total of 12.9%. In MP you pay 12.35% total fee which is 0.55% less that what is paid before MP.

Nope, they NEVER gave sellers the ability to block buyers with no FB or a low amount of FB however you define a low amount. Ebay has never offer this unless it was pre 1999.

If you have been around since the beginning, then you must already know that its outside advertisers that butter Ebay's bread much more than store subscriptions and final value fees do.

That is not likely to work since the more sellers drop out, new sellers drop in. eBay will have their pound of flesh no matter what. When I price things, I usually include all my costs of selling, including increases in seller fees. If you are not able to handle the delays in payment, I suggest you take out a small loan to cover your costs, or raise your prices. No two ways about it.
