If i disable my Auctiva account will it delete all my eBay auctions ?  or just the formatting from auctiva.....it seems even when i use eBay's "list it now" on my ebay, it gets imported into my auctiva account....it also inserts auctiva's counter & other info into my auction, even though i did not use auctiva's platform to list the auction...thanks much in advance......i don't like their price increase from 9.95 to 14.95 per month..

I don't use Auctiva.....but!

If you go into your eBay settings (General Preferences -> 3rd Party Authorizations) and revoke the Auctive authorization they won't be able to touch your listings in any way.

In most if not all situations with a third-party tool, once you unsubscribe, that's it, nothing happens.

One thing to be aware of, your existing listings will be full of Auctiva code, that code will persist if you use relist, maybe even with sell similar. The code won't likely cause a problem now but could down the road.

Exactly. Here's a recent thread about the problems it can cause down the road:

Update listings to conform to new security blah blah. What????

Follow the instructions........

You want to get rid of the gallery for sure and for that you have to contact Auctiva BEFORE you cancel the account.

Same situation here. I tried Auctiva thinking it would be convenient to archive listings to be relisted in the future. I inserted one of their templates in over 1100 listings. I did not use the gallery (I always disliked animated galleries). After a month of using Auctiva, I realized that it was not so easy, after all, to list from their site and also to keep track of their folders - closed - active - saved, etc... Then they increased my plan from 14.95 to 20.00 (I do not remember exactly). That's when I decided to cancel my account. To be honest, they have some good tools but not convenient for me.

The good thing is that I launched my listings from eBay and I uploaded my pictures from my PC. So I did not loose my pictures. BUT now I have to remove the HTML code from all my listings (upper part for template and lower part for counter and link). I started DELETING their links (so no one clicks on it) and keeping the template on some listings while I have been REMOVING the HTML template and links on others. My priority now is to finish removing HTML template and links on all active listings and I am almost done.

I will then update future listings when I relist them.

Not fun. I made a mistake. I am fixing it.

Good luck to you!

Short Answer: No it won't delete your listings.

I've been using Auctiva ever since they were free.

Longer Answer: I didn't click that one link someone posted about the issues with cancelling Auctiva. But I would think if you did, you'd have remaining code within your listing... honestly it's not the end of the world since majority of buyers don't even read listing descriptions.

Links will probably be broken and click into unknown pages, galleries will eventually show a broken default image. That's about it I think. I wouldn't even hurry to fix each listing as listing description isn't even important anymore in buyers' eyes. Just revise them at your own pace... or see this as an opportunity to do an entire listing re-design from scratch.
