Past week noticed feedback count going up but every time I'd look wasn't seeing any new feedback to go with the count, there would be 1 new from buyer but count went up by 3... until this morn when I noticed the small "automated feedback" on the right of feedback page says "8" and so I checked the box "show automated feedback" and seen where these left.
Not a bad thing, buyers actually leaving feedback is nicer, but so many don't leave it at all it's nice to see "something" for all the thousands orders filled and feedback left for buyers.

It's always a better idea to buy what you can see in person anyway, if you don't mind the drive and the gas money.

Yes, that's it.
If you go back 20, 25 years, back when eBay was new, if buyers asked, the regulars would advise them to look for sellers with feedback higher than their body temperature.

🤣That's hilarious.

So you're preemptively upset about the possibility that eBay could incompetently give @buyselljack2016 an auto-pos for a late delivery, even though he did ship in his handling time and the late delivery is due to the postal carrier, also the buyer can still leave whatever feedback they want up to 60 days after delivery, and it would replace the auto? Am I missing something?
In the past the leaving of feedback on ebay was strictly between buyer & seller
Not upset, but have concerns based upon past experiences with new policies where there was a failure to correctly apply policy & rules & needing to bring issues forward to secure a proper outcome
1. Let's be clear eBay's auto feedback policy covers more than this one eBay seller
2. If it were the buyer I would not hold the seller as being responsible & would not leave this seller with a neg or neutral feedback when delayed delivery was due to the postal carrier.
We are being advised eBay will be holding sellers responsible for carrier delays & will refrain from gifting auto positive feedback
Are you advocating for an actual buyer within 60 days, act to replace eBay auto feedback, if that were in fact to happen ?
3. Since a buyer can no longer intentionally choose to have no feedback appear for a particular transaction , this could possibly result in Increased numbers of neutrals & negs from less than happy buyers, objecting to eBay entering positive for the transaction
4. I suspect that eBay anticipates the increase of positives from auto feedback should result in a more favorable public perception of eBay
