I got a ton of the anime DVDs thinking they would be good sellers but turns out they really aren't, at least here. I looked up a great many on Amazon where they have good prices but haven't gotten around to listing them and for all I know people ask what they want for them but maybe they don't sell there either. Anyone here sell them? Husband says maybe they don't sell because people don't want DVDs. Maybe the same programs are online or streaming somewhere.

Like all other DVDs, it really depends on what titles you have. Some anime DVDs are virtually worthless and cannot be sold for enough money to cover the postage, just like many mainstream movies are similarly worthless. But, some DVDs, anime and mainstream movies, are very rare and not available on streaming, and are worth big money.
You just have to compare sold prices on a title by title basis to determine if they are worth selling. You might get lucky and find some valuable ones here and there. But you need to do the sold comparisons on eBay, you can't see sold prices on Amazon and sometimes people will ask insane prices for items there without any basis in reality (eg. a book that sells for $10 on eBay listed there for $100-500.)

I used ebay sold history but I've never tried Terapeak, I should look into it. Thank you.

Yup. I can say from experience that individual anime DVDs are a very tough sell UNLESS the series isn't available for streaming anywhere. Box sets for complete series sell well, however (I literally just sold one earlier this week), as do collector's editions, but even then they often take some time to move unless they're very rare.
The thing is that these days most anime is readily available on some streaming service or other (Crunchyroll, HIDIVE, Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, etc.), so there's really no need to buy DVDs unless it's a show you're going to want to watch over and over again. I watch a lot of anime but I've bought exactly one show on DVD in the past 10 years. The rest I just stream.
