Re: allowed item

@maxine*j

I bought some sterling chains from a China seller several years ago.  They all stuck right to the magnet and flunked my authenticity tests.  40 cents applies to those items, if even that much.

Yep.  Thus my words were in quotes:  "sterling silver."    😉

Re: allowed item

Not doubting your word, but where do we find the statistics indicating that most SL sellers quit after they lose money etc?

Re: allowed item

O-M-G. $200 USD is converted to Lkr 73,326.  Minimum wage there is 10,000 rupees per month, and is expected to be 11,000 rupees per month  by the end of the year. A nurse roughly makes 73,500 Lkr per month.

Is this the new get rich quick scheme in Sri Lanka? Charge shipping what nurses earn in a month?

It can be inferred by things like https://www.topratedseller.com/ that keep track of feedback stats and every bit of research I have done on various Sri Lankan tea and leave sellers. Everyone who actively has stuff for sale is either zero feedback, has very low feedback all as a buyer all purchased from Chinese and Sri Lankan sellers. They have to be quitting because almost none of them are clawing their way up to any actual level of sales. The Sri Lankan seller who gained the 100th most feedback in that country in the last 30 days had 60ish transactions for the month, all drop shipped cell phone cords, which I estimated to be worth a total profit of about $12.

@fab_finds4u

I've seen a few listings like this from SL and oddly they are selling the same items with the unbelievably excessive same prices.  🤔

Re: allowed item

     As others have noted if it is not on the prohibited items list assume you can list it. That however does not exempt you from adhering to the import laws of any country you may ship to. You also, as others noted, need to clean up your listings a bit. You have some inconsistencies in your post. For example the following is listed as sterling silver while the description indicates otherwise. The picture also does not look like a "evil eye".

@dbfolks166mt

Looks like your helpful recommendations fall on blind eyes.  I noticed that the other day as well, but....

What staggers me is the $200 shipping cost....for a random wooden bowl probably worth pennies if that...🙄

     I notice a lot of the OP's listings are $200 to ship. Postage must be real expensive out of Sri Lanka. I often wonder, and as others have noted in responses to other board postings, if the OP's ever come back and read any of the responses or if they are doing this because somehow they think it earns some kind of points or bonus the more they post. I really don't see this seller surviving long before they get suspended.
