After 18 years on this platform, I've found greener pastures. Unfortunately, that's very easy to do these days, as I have no more commitment to this platform than this platform has for it's sellers.
Happy to be going out with my TR status intact (for what little it's worth) and regret that I have but one membership to give.
Adios, Amigos.......it was a blast until it wasn't,
William

We have the disclaimer at the bottom of our stream view "Condition As Seen Live" that covers that nonsense. And people aren't that uptight and scammy there, it's a nice atmosphere as it should be.

That is a great piece of information to know if I ever decide to stream anything on any platform. I never really considered it all that much since I work from a wheelchair in a pretty cramped location that isn't super conductive to good looking video, although I do own all the right equipment already, so who knows what the future may hold for me.

Oh Gosh, the view really doesn't matter there......they stream their items on work benches, dining tables, wherever. It's the items before the camera they are concerned about.

And by not anything like the ebay price, I mean $20 ebay items selling for $5 from people with huge followings.
Yeah, my question is whether OP is getting better prices that way, because otherwise that seems like a whole lot of effort to put in for a very small return.

@d.amber The video we can add to a listing's Gallery is a Pre-recorded video. Livestreaming is, well, live video. So, no, there's really no connection between the two.
ebay announced a while ago that they were launching livestreaming, but so far it has not involved regular sellers, and in fact, there have only been a handful of livestreams, all connected to ebay's special Vertical categories, all with ebay personnel involved. You can watch reruns of them on your phone if you have the app:
Although some of us have asked repeatedly, ebay has never really been clear as to whether the goal is to make the livestreaming technology available to regular sellers outside the Verticals or not. That's the impression they've given, but I've yet to see ebay clarify that.
So, for now, and I'm guessing at least for the rest of the year, if a seller wants to livestream, that isn't an option on ebay.

Generally, the answer is NO. Stuff sells for less there, and the fees are not as high. You also have no control over shipping. That platform controls it. Not that it's really a negative.
You also will seriously struggle, unless you have followers. I've tried two shows over there. Big waste of time so far. They need to expand categories, and maybe it would be better. They ARE working on the platform, but honestly, I don't think live auctions like that will be long term. It requires a constant flow of viewers with time to waste. Unless you can feed a constant flow of "grail" and rare stuff, it's not going to hold people's attention forever. And you better be willing to let it go under market, because it most likely will sell under market.
