Buyer received jigsaw puzzle on May 4.

Buyer opened return choosing Ordered by Mistake on May 23. (19 days after receiving it). Buyer received a free return shipping label from me same day.

eBay gave buyer until June 14 (today) to return the item.

June 13 buyer asked eBay to step in and refund them.

June 14 eBay found in my favor as buyer never shipped item back.

I knew eBay would find in my favor when the buyer never shipped it back. I was surprised the buyer asked eBay to step in yesterday. Must have dawned on her that she had ran out of all of those overly generous number of days eBay gave her to return it.

I was going to ask eBay to close the case myself next Monday to give the buyer a couple of extra days.

Nice to win one and get my money that eBay has been holding. Thanks eBay for looking out for sellers in these instances.

Very nice win for a seller....but you are TRS.

Would that mean buyer cannot leave a negative feedback?

Or would eBay remove it as a TRS?

Just curious and lazy to look it up.

TRS means nothing when it comes to feedback removal.  There used to be a Concierge service that would remove up to a certain number of negative feedbacks per some period, but that's no longer a thing (I think the Concierge service still exists for direct customer service, it just doesn't allow negative feedback to be removed outside of the usual process).

I wish TRS status got as many perks as I've seen stated or speculated on these boards.  All we really get is 10% off FVF's, and that's only for listings with 1-day handling and free returns. That's it!  

Getting feedback removed, the ability to deduct up to 50% from refunds for reduced-condition returns, getting more visibility for listings, shipping discount ... none of these are TRS privileges.
