Why is my Buyer Getting This Error Message?

I have a buyer attempting to purchase one of my items, but she's getting both of these error messages, the most puzzling of which being the one about me being unable to accept funds.

 

I've confirmed that the buyer is using a PayPal account, as she should be, and she's recently been able to purchase from other buyers with that account. 

 

I have no idea what about my listing could be causing these error messages.

So, I never really got an explanation for this problem, but the problem did alleviate itself.

 

After a few days of looking for an answer, the time on my listing ran out. I relisted it without changing any of the attributes, and, for some reason, the buyer was able to purchase the new listing. 

 

So at least it's not a problem anymore. I'm still curious about what caused it.

I wondered that as well because when I looked at the OP's  shipping tab it looked like there was conflicting information there. The OP's listings are in the Global Shipping Program but then it shows those same counties being allowed through GSP as being blocked by the seller's exemptions in the Shipping tab.

Maybe you don't accept international payments.

I had the SAME exact issue and ended up loosing the sale....but not because we BOTH (myself and 'buyer') didn't try.  

- 50+ messages between buyer and I

- 5 phone calls to Ebay (from me)

- 1 phone call to Ebay (from 'buyer')

- hours DOWN THE DRAIN!

We parted ways with mutual empathy for each other and frustration with the situation.  I am sorry for going on and not giving you any 'helpful' information.

No, this buyer is located in the United States, as am I.

 

Also, although I do have countries excluded from shipping, I also have the override setting applied for purchases that are eligible for the Global Shipping Program, so I don't believe that should be an issue regardless.

have you checked to see if she's blocked on your bbl list.....perhaps NP? 

 

I put the jeans into the shopping cart and don't get any messages........

 

Might tell her to take them out of the cart.....sign out of everything, ebay and her browser and try again........

Have you had any other successful purchases via payments to your PayPal account since then? Reason I ask (and this is a real longshot, I know) was that I had a bizarre experience when testing some changes to a buyer requirement setting of mine about the length of time (i.e. number of days) over which a buyer could make separate purchases and then a combined payment. It had to do with whether the automated Unpaid Item Assistant could be invoked in as little as two days minimum instead of four. (The answer was Yes, as long as you turned off the combined payment option.)

 

After making the change to my buyer requirements, I was mildly amazed to find that I'd also turned off accepting PayPal payments... completely... for anything. How or why that happened, I have no idea, but I had to reactivate that myself; it was clearly Off after I'd made some other changes. Just my $.02...

or not put them in the cart but buy direct. Also do you have sales limits?

 

I had one of these a while ago. Buyer from England couldn't complete purchase. Back and forth messages and frustration until we both gave up. I am thinking there was a obvious explaination but I couldn't figure it out.

Further to what A.CGreen said, have you checked PayPal to see if there are any issues with your account. Just the message alone "cannot accept funds" is rather strange, however, I was talking with PayPal on the weekend and they did say they were having some technical issues.

Or ask the buyer to try it all from a laptop or a PC, instead of a phone. 

 

I would never pay from my phone.
