It is possible that you were in one of a few forums that are Read Only unless you are invited in. In which forum were you trying to post if not this one?

FOr some reason sometimes it also happens to me that I can't respond to SOME not all posts. The first thing I always try is to clear cache, delete cookies. Then I have one browser where I don't have any addons (I use CHrome for that), they often cause various problems. Instead of clearing cache etc for all sites, press and hold Shift and click on the reload button, then reload button one more time. This clear the data just for a particular page. Other than that, I have no idea, but I do believe, it is related to the browser you use.

Right but I cannot imagine a glitch where he can open an entirely new thread and yet not comment or reply to an existing one. Plus he had made the same opening post at least twice here in the Selling group - so I am wondering if maybe he is just not seeing his screen refresh properly after he submits something.

As was asked in the first post, what forums are you trying to post in? Some are closed unless you are a member of that group. Then there is, Ask a Mentor, it is closed to everyone but the person (?) asking the question and mentors.

We are not eBay or Khoros so don't know which ones you are looking at.

Why can't I reply - The eBay Community

Asking the same question 2 X's will not get help any faster.

Some threads are locked by the moderators, which removes the reply button, so no one can post. This happens if someone posts on an old outdated thread which brings it to page one, so they lock it.
