I've been trying to get more sales going on my Ebay page to make up for my part time job cutting back hours recently, which has included trying to use promoted listings to get more items sold faster. However, I've found that even with the promoted listing none of my items are moving any faster. In fact, I haven't made a single sale since adding promoted listings to some of my items and it barely even seems to be helping them generate any additional views.

There are no guarantees that even with the use promoted listings that your items will sell.
If there is an interest in what you're selling, you'll get views and sales, but it doesn't happen over night.

I looked through your store.
You are guessing most of your prices and have listed a lot of items that will simply never sell.
You have the Sims for PC listed for $25. That is a hard sell at $5. You have $2 worth of Pokemon cards listed for $25. You are $10 high on the morgan mint quarters (and hard to sell even then). You have books listed for $10+ that charity sellers have under $5 shipped. It is hard to sell DVDs in lots even at $1 each these days.
Those Disney lithographs you have at $16 shipped tend to actually sell at $10 shipped.
Then you have things listed for real money that I wouldn't list even if I got them for free, monitor driver CDs, baby picture frames, children's VHS (doesn't sell anymore except for rare exceptions) a bent spongebob sticker (with package shipping at that instead of 69 cent standard envelope).
Go through your store one at a time and compare your prices with the prices of sold items.

Have you noticed whether your listings have received an increase in page views?
If there are more page views, that might suggest that promoted listings are helping get your listings more exposure.
However, if the price is too high or you are competing against three thousand other sellers with the same item, then that it a different problem entirely.
Bottom line: there are no miracle solutions to the challenges of selling on eBay.

Just look at your listings, right below yours, others are SHOWING that are MUCH CHEAPER!!
