Hi all
I started selling on eBay few months ago and to be exact I'm mostly selling new federally regulated circuit breakers.
Unlike older models of breakers, the newer ones are much more expansive as they provide many more layers of safety.
I was able to beat all prices on eBay and I've been selling good but from time to time I would have an item that would not show up on the search despite being a lot cheaper than anyone else. Not in the middle of the page or not even on the next one. Just does not show up at all.
As another person mentioned, you can find the ad using your own pc but try different one and you'll never find it. I literally copied the same exact first ad on the search page with the exception of lowering the price and my ad is no where to be found.
I believe that eBay is hiding ads of those who choose not to pay for promoting. That's the only reason I can find. In fact I'm accusing eBay of doing just that.

If you want us to troubleshoot search issues, you must provide us with the search terms you are using, and the item number you are expecting to find with those search terms.
There are dozens of things that can cause an item to not be found in search, but without a concrete example it is just guesswork.
I would estimate that the members of this board have been able to explain 95% of the problems sellers have posted, if the provide the necessary information. And none of the involve eBay "hiding" listings.

Could be your listings are not featured because you are not enrolled in MANAGED PAYMENTS (which is mandatory if you want to continue selling on EBAY). EBAY no longer uses PayPal to process money.
To enroll in MANAGED PAYMENTS you need to open checking account with same EXACT NAME as name shown on your EBAY profile page. You also need to provide SS#. Important thing to remember is name must MATCH EXACTLY (bank account, SS#, name on Ebay profile). If names don't match exactly your enrollment will not be accepted and you will have to provide additional proof. Believe me...its easier to do it right the first time.
With MANAGED PAYMENTS it takes 3-5 days (after you ship item) for money is deposited into your BANK ACCOUNT. EBAY deducts for shipping & EBAY fees (they deposit whatever is leftover into your bank account).
Good luck to you and I hope this solves your problem.

Hi congrats on your success, and hope you will have a Happy New Year with many more sales.
When i look at your offerings, i see 13 items listed. How many do you have up?
Ebay doesn't make a secret of their ability to adjust what a buyer sees, and in fact, they discuss this openly in the User Agreement. It says,
https://www.ebay.com/help/policies/member-behaviour-policies/user-agreement?id=4259
There are all kinds of things besides price that determine one’s placement in Search. Other factors like having a buyer-friendly return policy, one-day shipping, established sales history, and/or use of Item Specifics can affect results. And consider with Cassini, searching for one’s own listings can return different results than the next person’s. What you see may not be even remotely close to what i see when both of us are using the same Search terms.
Ebay doesn't expect every seller to promote every listing. So it is highly unlikely that would be the cause of your items not showing up in Search. Many many listings don’t have it and don’t need it. Therefore it is doubtful sellers would be specifically penalized for a lack of promotional participation.

Relax, the race is over, the rats won.

Was any of your listings a duplicate listing?
