I used to list 50+ items a day, but now I can only stomach (like I do dealing with utilities, politicians, and taxes) as the overall selling experience has plummeted in the past 4-5 years, and quicker than it did the previous 10-12 years.
Examples: Item specifics?! How many things can be listed on say a round brass ball? Auto-returns?! You can repurpose an antique musical instrument as art, it doesn't fit due to size and return it automatically? Cannot use "500+" as a quantity in Item specifics? Talk to an eBay "colleague" who will openly tell you they do not sell on eBay, yet supports selling on eBay as their job?
Heard of Amazon? The one that about closed Walmart? eBay's response:
"Get me (us) some of that Walmart leadership!"
Please let eBay be sold.

You seem to think that selling Ebay [a publicly owned company] is the answer to all your issues. There is an old saying, The Grass is NOT always Greener on the Other side.
You may increase your sales if you give buyers more of a variety to choose from.

eBay will be sold when eBay decides to sell it. Until then it's still a popular selling site for many.
Happy Selling

Ebay is paying a dividend on June 1 to stockholders. they are currently making money and have been but earnings forecast for next 3 years is a downward trend. ebay has cash in the bank so they are not going anywhere or to a buy out.

And I'll add who don't know what they are doing or haven't yet experienced the better way to sell.
Hint: Reseller out of the Chicago area.

Curious, how are you paid or compensated to have this 'Volunteer Community Member ' tagline?

Drove past Walmart today. It was still open.
ETA - Tons of cars in the parking lot too. Pretty sure it was not all staff.

Ebay is the best site for selling many collectible items.
It does not have the same obstacles to selling that are in place on Amazon or Walmart.
It was not always the best place to sell these items, but as mass market online marketplaces have evolved Ebay has increased in its domination of its niche.
Ebay's losses in GMV have been in mass market products.
It is taking steps to solidify its areas of strength and taking sales away from smaller players like ETSY.
It will stabilize and provide a steady return to its shareholders. Whether it will be able to hold onto its stock valuation is a separate problem.
Were it to be sold, it would be an asset to its buyer.
This does not mean that many Ebay sellers will be able to continue selling here. I think we all know which are likely to be run off in the not too distant future.

Not enough.

Amazon has a revolving door of employees who come and go working there.
They have just about run out of anyone left who wants to work there....how do we know?...they pay employees weekly and they give employees health benefits on the first day of being hired.
So, it doesn't sound like Amazon is doing good as a company.

Curious, how are you paid or compensated to recommend Amazon?

No need to be confrontational or hostile to those who replied here. You asked, they told. Sorry it's not conducive with your opinion.
Have a great evening
