I have a quick question.
How to respond to a beligerent and mean buyer. Have me in tears so mean.
Been a pain before but nothing like this.
Not sure how to proceed. Even sent me several emails today each being this way.

There have been a lot of complaints about ESE not tracking.
I'm shipping from Canada, but could someone explain?
Is there a number on the envelope - but the USPS is bad at picking it up?
If so, would it help if the seller manually entered the tracking number into their Orders List and kept a separate file of those numbers with date of shipment?
For sane but nervous buyers that might be comforting.

@ellenshideout wrote:Sent a reply to the buyer just as other in this post have said to do.
He replied 2 minutes ago reiterating how long it takes to be delivered has nothing to did with USPS. Starting to wonder if he is on drugs or something. How long USPS takes to deliver is 100% on them.
He is still being rude I wont repeat his exact words this time. Worst email yet.
Wish eBay has a report buyer for this reason, but only ones listed does not follow this situation.
@ellenshideout Then just ignore them. They sound like a complete moron! Obviously how long it takes to get there is 100% on USPS. It doesn't sound like he's going to listen to reason, so at this point I would just ignore. You can't reason with stupidity & there's nothing you can do to make it get there any faster!
Also, you must be looking in the wrong place. Every single message has a Report button, the 3 dots up in the top right hand corner. When you click on them, they read as follows:
Report a Message
Tell us why you're reporting this message:
So there seems to be several that fit your situation. In fact there's even a box for Optional that you can type in. I might send one checking 'offensive' & then choosing to 'explain the issue' on the others & explaining that you are receiving X number of messages & they all contain..., whatever it is. If he's swearing at you, say that, they aren't allowed to. If he's threatening you, say that. SPELL IT OUT, don't be coy like you're being here. If it's AI, you probably need to spell out for it what the offensive stuff is. If it's REALLY bad, I have called on these before & asked the CSR's to send a 'cease & desist' & that has always solved the problem. My caveat here is that I've never done it with a current customer. But I don't understand why you're saying that there's no appropriate Report category, it sure looks like there is! To be blunt, if he's so unreasonable that he thinks delivery time does not depend on USPS, I don't think there's anything you can say or do to placate him. I mean, who does it depend on? The Cosmic Muffin?
Edit: when I hit post, it removed some HTML in my copy of the Report Message screen. In reality, there are checkboxes next to all those choices.

Apparently the ESE tracking is not actual USPS tracking, so is not picked up the same way in the system.

Would be nice if you provided more precise detail of your situation. Like providing info. of the Who, What, Where, How details.
Dealing with the "public" is not always a pleasant experience but if you want to sell or buy to the masses on a public forum - ya' gotta learn to roll with the flow. There are ~347 million people in the US and each one is an individual and don't always think alike as each followed different footsteps. Maybe this link will offer some insight https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PKpQRjj_WbU.
PS: Dealt face to face with the buying public for 41.5 years and had many "unique" experiences - never took any of them personally. But did learn early on some people will lie a little, cheat a little but will be totally sincere about it and still do today.

There are others out there to help you out. You're not alone. Just block the buyer and contact an ebay agent to help with this issue. Kind regards

IMHO you should just stop responding to this buyer. If possible, stop even reading the messages that you get from him, since nothing productive can come from that. There's nothing you can do to expedite or even explain the delivery time for an item that has already been sent!

The more I think about it, I think the buyer is trying to bully you into just issuing a full refund so he'll have a freebie when it arrives. Do NOT cave.

Just talk with an ebay agent about your situation. They will be able to help further this situation so you're not so stress about the buyer. Stressing yourself out more about a buyer will make you more sick. If he's not willing to communicate properly just put the buyer on a block list. Then contact an agent to help you with the situation, because they will help you in this situation. There is plenty of support to help you.

I cannot think of anything more useless in this scenario than contacting an agent. -What do you picture them saying or doing?

Could you just copy and paste his exact words, but then (if needed) delete any curse/vulgar words and maybe replace them with 'bleep' ? I can't be the only one who's very curious to know just how abusive this dude is being. Don't take this the wrong way, but I've seen many situations of very sensitive people mistaking totally neutral writing as hostile. So it would be helpful to know exactly what this guy is saying to you.
And if it's beyond a certain level of civility, it would absolutely be cause to report the message, even if you have to choose an "off label" reason from the menu. -Just having a report on record can be very handy in the future, if you have to request a negative feedback removal, for instance.

You will continue to get Messages for 30 days after your last Message, because you are in a transaction.
I would also suggest when this is all over, changing the name of your account to something less obviously female.
I could be mistaken but I believe having a current transaction won't continue their messages coming through; only having a current return or INR would. @wastingtime101 is that correct?
My username is as 'gurlie' as it gets, and if I used it in social media I'm sure it would attract every meat-head incel on the planet, but I haven't had a problem here, even when selling items that are for men (or hobbies that tend to have more of a male base). I've had some headstrong problematic buyers for sure, but probably more women than men, lol. Anyway can a seller even change their account name if they wanted to? I thought that wasn't possible.

You opened 'Pandora's box'....do not respond to his emails.
It's a 'drama' buyer and you should expect more.
Will probably say 'never received'...if this happens with an open claim...just 'refund' and claim will close.
I had a young woman at Trader's Joe yesterday call me the 'f' word.
She was blocking the aisle and my hand basket accidentally tapped her shoulder...she had ear-plugs on and I had to tell her to talk to the hand because she kept yelling at me. I said 'excuse me' 4 times for her to move out of the way with her shopping cart.
She said the ' f ' word to me while in line to pay for my groceries.
Some people are just mean spirited.
